The Resolution for Freedom of Transportation for All shall be presented at the Travis County Democratic Convention this Spring. We urge all parties and organizations to adopt similar resolutions because we believe this should be the mainstream view. Walk Austin would like to thank any and all public servants who through their work, make our world a better place to walk. We do this in observance of Public Service Recognition Week. WALK Austin demonstrated for awareness of pedestrian safety and the lack thereof in conjunction with the national release of the report: "Mean Streets" from the Washington D.C Based Environmental Working Group. WALK Austin Walks Lamar! was our first Urban Walking Tour which took place Sat Mar. 22 from Noon to 3 PM. As a part of that event, we held a reading and signing of The Declaration of the Right to Walk and Roll. This document was created by Reuben Leslie Jr. because sometimes, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary to declare one's rights! Reuben supplies a preface which puts our declaration into historical perspective.
