butterfly pea vine   Heat loving Butterfly Pea Vine lends an exotic touch to the garden with its convoluted blooms.  Easily grown from seed planted in June, this member of the legume family is native to Borneo.

Dwarf calliandra (Calliandra emarginata minima) are grown in pots to be brought inside as soon as temperatures approach freezing.  This is a shade lover that blooms best with liberal watering.
