Rustic accomodations help you get away from it all! To make your picnics and camp-outs delightfully easy, we provide you firewood, hearth, outdoor shower, flush-toilet outhouse, coffee for breakfast, and a supremely good time! You bring food, beverages, cooler, utensils, cooking equipment, stools, tent, and bedroll. Advance registrants get detailed directions, a more complete list of what to bring, and my handy sheet of helpful hints. With our “Bluff Barn” roof, we can accommodate you RAIN or SHINE. And yes, of course, you can come just for one day or night.

As you’ve come to expect, any Rancho event offers live campfire music, natural heritage tales, river activities, and guided hikes through the property. Rancho Richey Refuge, Texas’ most uncommon private outdoor recreation site, is a beautiful and interesting place on the Guadalupe River, with varied terrain and easy access one hour south of Austin and an hour east of San Antonio.
