DISASTER RECOVERY RESOURCES AVAILABLE
| Did your museum sustain damage during Hurricane
Ike?
Then you may be eligible for public assistance for disaster recovery.
Please go to the Governor’s Division of Emergency Management
web site http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/dem/pages/index.htm
and select Disaster Recovery on the left menu. From the Disaster
Recovery page select Disaster Summary Outline and then submit the
following forms:
- Request for Public Assistance
- Designation of Applicant’s Agent
- Direct Deposit Authorization Form
- PNP Facility Questionnaire

AMERICANS FOR THE ARTS ESTABLISHES EMERGENCY
RELIEF FUND
In response to the devastation in Texas
and Louisiana due to recent hurricane activity, Americans for
the Arts is collecting donations to its Emergency
Relief Fund. Funds will be used help local arts service organizations
rebuild the arts in their communities. At this time, the application
process for emergency relief funds is not open, and will only be
opened when enough resources have been collected and are available
to distribute. |

| AIC-CERT
The American Institute for Conservation (AIC) is offering free
emergency
response assistance to cultural organizations damaged by Hurricane
Ike. Staff members of collecting institutions may contact AIC Collections
Emergency Response Teams (AIC-CERT) AIC-CERT for help.
- Call AIC's 24-hour assistance number at 202.661.8068 for advice
by phone.
- Call 202.661.8068 to arrange for a team to come to the site
to complete
damage assessments and help with salvage organization.
