George's forte is disruption – inventing and synthesizing software, data and energy technologies in unique ways that have enabled the transformation of business and mission performance for over a thousand enterprises and organizations.
Anthony Wanger serves as President of IO. In this capacity, Wanger directs the Company's expansion and acquisition activities, oversees key transactions and the Company's Legal, Ecosystem, Real Estate, and Risk Management functions. Wanger has led IO's DCaaS expansion and development across the world. Prior to his involvement with IO, Wanger co-founded and managed Sterling Network Services, LLC, a leading enterprise data center services provider. Earlier in his career, Wanger was a private equity investor and served as Senior Vice President at Sterling Partners where he directed a variety of investments and transactions for the firm. Wanger graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Emory University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Boston University School of Law.
William Slessman serves as Chief Technology Officer/Chief Operating Officer of IO. In this capacity, he is directly responsible for global technology delivery, engineering and manufacturing. He has served as Chief Operating Officer from the Company's inception in 2007 and leads all operations and technology development. Slessman has been an executive in the technology and data center industry for over 10 years, and has had responsibility for meeting the technology and service level needs for hundreds of enterprise and government customers. Prior to joining IO, Slessman co-founded and was COO of Sterling Network Services, LLC, a leading enterprise colocation services provider (sold in July 2006). Slessman has assisted some of the largest, most technologically dependent and demanding companies in applying advanced technologies to their businesses, including Reed Elsevier, PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, Toyota Financial Services and Heller Financial. Slessman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Applied Sciences from Arizona State University.
Chief Innovation Officer
Kevin Malik serves as Chief Innovation Officer at IO. In this role, he focuses on continually advancing IO technology and creating an internal culture that inspires relentless creativity from top global talent. Mr. Malik leads the IO.Cloud, IO.OS Software Engineering, and Enterprise Process Architecture teams. He previously served as Vice President, Global Enterprise IT, for Starwood Hotels and Resorts. During his tenure at Starwood, Mr. Malik oversaw technology systems in over 20 countries and was a key advisor on data center and infrastructure trends. Prior to Starwood, Mr. Malik was a lead consultant for several large global SAP deployments and worked as a consultant with Accenture. Mr. Malik holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
Michael Berry serves as IO’s Chief Financial Officer since October 1, 2013. Previously, Mr. Berry served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of SolarWinds, Inc. (NYSE: SWI), an international provider of IT management software, from November 2011, and as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of SolarWinds from March 2010. Prior to this, he served as Executive Vice President, Finance and Accounting, and Chief Financial Officer of i2 Technologies, Inc., a supply chain management software and services company, from August 2005 to January 2010. Prior to this time, he served as Senior Vice President of Solutions Management, Development and Operations of The Reynolds and Reynolds Company, Inc., a provider of software and services to the retail automotive industry, from April 2005. He joined Reynolds and Reynolds in November 2003 as Senior Vice President of Services. Mr. Berry earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Augsburg College, and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from the University of St. Thomas.
Karen Stein is General Counsel for IO. Ms. Stein oversees all legal and risk management functions of the Company. She holds a Juris Doctor, with Honors, from Emory University, an MBA from Loyola University with a concentration in Finance, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Maryland, where she graduated magna cum laude. She has practiced law since 1994, focusing on business transactions, licensing, and intellectual property. Before joining IO, Ms. Stein practiced at the Troutman Sanders law firm in Atlanta, Georgia, and served as the Assistant General Counsel for the PGA TOUR for ten years.
Executive Leader, Global Sales and Customer Operations
Peter McNamara serves as Executive Leader, Global Sales and Customer Operations at IO. In this role, he is responsible for developing, managing and executing the global sales of the organization, as well as the customer operations and execution for IO. McNamara joined IO from F5 Networks, where he served as Regional Vice President, Major Accounts, and prior as EVP - Worldwide Sales at Incipient Software. McNamara has held senior sales leadership positions for companies including Symantec, VERITAS Software, and EMC. McNamara brings over 15 years of experience in the Information Technology field including building and driving enterprise software sales through highly successful direct field sales organizations. McNamara holds a Masters Degree from New York University and a B.A. from Manhattanville College, Purchase, NY. McNamara is also a Co-Founder and Trustee of Liam’s Room, Inc. (www.liamsroom.org), a not for profit charitable foundation.
Business Leader, Global Channels and Alliances
Jim Kleeman serves as Business Leader, Channel and Alliances at IO. In this role, he is responsible for developing and growing strategic relationships with the world’s leading IT distribution, integration and technology companies. Kleeman joins IO from System Maintenance Services, where he served as CEO and Executive Vice President. Prior to that he served as GM/SVP at Avnet, and Managing Partner at Gemma Capital. Kleeman brings over 25 years of experience in the IT field, including developing and executing strategic planning, management, customer relations, and vendor and partner relationships. Kleeman graduated from Loras College with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Psychology. Kleeman has served on the Advisory Council for Hewlett Packard and Expanets leadership team. He is an Emeritus member of the Board of Directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and is actively involved in other charitable organizations including Fresh Start Women's Foundation, Men's Board for Fresh Start, notMYkid Foundation and United Way.
Chief of Staff
Kindra Martone serves as Chief of Staff, within the Office of the CEO. Prior to her role as Chief of Staff, Martone served as Executive Leader, Global Ecosystem, led the Sales organization and served as General Manager at IO. Martone has more than 15 years of experience in the information technology industry. Before joining IO, Martone held a number of positions with Cisco Systems including global Sales Management and Operations Management. Martone graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and B.S. in Computer Science Engineering from Arizona State University.
Executive Leader, Global Services
Adil Attlassy serves as Executive Leader, Global Services for IO. In this capacity, he is directly responsible for global operations and oversees IO’s global Data Center 2.0 strategy. Attlassy has spent the past 17 years in the telecommunications and data center industry, and has had responsibility for delivering solutions for global enterprise customers. Prior to joining IO, Attlassy held executive positions with Digital Realty Trust in the US, the UK and Singapore. Attlassy has supported the delivery of more than 500 megawatts of data center capacity across 64 data center sites in North America, Europe and APAC. In his most recent capacity, he managed data center development projects in Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, and Japan. He received a DUT from Institut Universitaire de Technologie, Mulhouse, France, a BS in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles and an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management.
Executive Leader, Global Product Management
Aaron Peterson is Executive Leader, Global Product Management at IO. Mr. Peterson is responsible for IO's product strategy including product planning, roadmap development, requirements architecture and product launch execution. With more than 20 years in executive enterprise technology positions, Mr. Peterson joined IO from IBM Corporation, where he served as a leader in software technical sales. Previously, Mr. Peterson was in technical product development and sales at Initiate Systems, which was acquired by IBM, and held technical leadership positions at Acxiom and Accenture.
Business Leader, Global Marketing and Communications
Jason Ferrara serves as Business Leader, Global Marketing and Communications for IO. In this role, Ferrara is responsible for all aspects of company marketing, including marketing strategy, customer intelligence, corporate communications and public relations. Ferrara has an agency background, having worked in a variety of management roles for the past 12 years. He has worked with a number of Fortune 1000 companies including Chase, Disney and Symantec and brings a wealth of interactive marketing experience. Prior to joining IO, Ferrara served as COO for Elixir Interactive and Managing Director for iCrossing.
