Hole 1 * Par 4 * 460 yards
- This 7th handicap hole plays downhill with a very slight dogleg
right.
- A good drive down the left side will leave the golfer with a 5 to 7 iron
- approach to a relatively flat but large green.

Hole 2 * Par 4 * 377
yards
- This 9th handicap hole allows most players to play a 3 wood or 1 iron off
the
- tee. The two tiered fairway forces players to aim their tee shots toward
the right
- side of the green, allowing the roll of the fairway to take the ball down
to the
- bottom level. A ball that is missed to the left could find its way into the
water
- which guards the left side of the fairway. A good tee shot will leave the
player a
- medium short iron hit to a small, but level green, heavily bunkered along
the right
- side.

Hole 3 * Par 3 * 153
yards
- This 13th handicap hole usually requires a 7 or 8 iron, but if the wind is
up, it is
- possible to hit to the shallow, wide green with as much as a 5 iron. The
player
- must keep his ball on the proper side of the large side of the slope that
divides
- the green in half.

Hole 4 * Par 4 * 410
yards
- This 5th handicap hole has a downhill tee shot over a fairway bordered by
trees
- on the right, and heavily wooded on the left. The second shot will take a
medium
- to short iron to hit to a split-level green. Proper club selection is a
must. If a ball
- ends up on the wrong part of the green, the player must hit two good putts
to
- escape with his par.

Hole 5 * Par 5 * 611
yards
- This 11th handicap hole is a downwind par five. A generous landing area
leaves
- the player with a mid-iron lay-up and a decision. The second shot may be
played
- to lay-up area with two levels. The upper level is easier, but offers a
more
- difficult third than the low road. The short iron third must carry over a
small
- hazard to a green that is deceptively sloped.

Hole 6 * Par 4 * 388
yards
- This 3rd handicap hole is the most underrated hole at Barton Creek. The
player's
- club selection off the tee may vary from a driver to a long iron. The
farther the
- drive, the tighter the fairway gets and a medium to short iron second is
uphill to a
- small, well undulated green. If the player misses right and the ball lands
in the
- bunkers, it is extremely difficult to save par.

Hole 7 * Par 4 * 442
yards
- This #1 handicap hole turns around into the wind and is considered by most
- players as one of the best driving holes. A dogleg left featuring
a
- severe slope and bunkers, forces the player to play an honest tee shot to
the
- right side of the fairway, leaving a long iron second. Big hitters may want
to cut
- the dogleg and try to take it over the first bunker, but too far left could
result in a
- double bogey. The gently contoured green forces the player to maintain
- concentration once reaching the green.

Hole 8 * Par 5 * 494
yards
- This 13th handicap hole could be considered a par 4 1/2 and is a
must-birdie. A
- hazard extends all the way down the left side and slightly in front of the
green.
- The fairway narrows down to only 10 yards wide in front of the green. If a
driver
- is used, it must be straight. A fairway wood tee-shot will leave a long
iron second
- to a large, but flat green that is well guarded by all sorts of trouble.
Two good
- shots leave the player rewarded with an easily made eagle putt.

Hole 9 * Par 3 * 175
yards
- While playing this 15th handicap hole, attention must be paid to which tee
is
- played. This hole could be anywhere from 120 yards to 170 yards. Surrounded
- by a beautiful waterfall on the left, this hole requires maximum accuracy.
A slope
- to the right gives the player a good chance to bounce his ball onto the
green.

Hole 10 * Par 4 * 418
yards
- This 10th handicap hole is considered to be one of the most scenic holes on
the
- course. The first shot may be measured by hang time after hitting off this
- extremely elevated tee. The fairway is guarded by a lake on the left and a
severe
- bunker on the right. The uphill second shot is to a small split level
green.
- A beautiful but dangerous hole.

Hole 11 * Par 4 * 415
yards
- This 8th handicap hole plays downwind and is a slight dogleg
right.
- The fairway slopes left and a creek and waterfall flank the left side of
the
- two-level green. The player's fate could be a three-putt if a short iron
second
- does not find the proper level on the green.

Hole 12 * Par 4 * 270
yards
- The easiest hole on the course, players should not be fooled. This drivable
par 4
- offers an eagle opportunity, but has enough trouble around the green to
cost the
- golfer two or three shots. An over-shoot will find its way some 200 feet
down the
- hill in Barton Creek.

Hole 13 * Par 4 * 477
yards
- This 6th handicap hole plays shorter than its yardage. A right to left
tailwind
- helps the player obtain extra distance; however do not go too far left, as
the
- same drop-off to Barton Creek guarding #12 trails along the left side of
the this
- hole. A mid to long iron second puts the ball on the largest green on the
course.
- The front and back of this fifty yard deep green slopes to the middle
which is
- guarded by a hidden bunker front right.

Hole 14 * Par 3 * 170
yards
- This 16th handicap hole is a relatively simple par three that requires a 6
to 7 iron
- for most players. A large Oak stands watch over the right side of the small
green,
- while shots missed left are extraordinarily difficult to get up and down.

Hole 15 * Par 4 * 527
yards
- This 12th handicap hole plays straight into the prevailing wind. Barton
Creek lies
- to the left side of this hole, and is only 2 feet off the left side of the
green.
- Bunkers are to the right of the tee shot area and a long iron or fairway
wood
- second leaves the player with a short pitch to this long and narrow green.

Hole 16 * Par 4 * 420
yards
- This #2 handicap hole is considered an overall favorite. Into the
prevailing wind,
- the landing area provides one of the tightest driving areas on the course.
A long
- straight tee shot leaves the player with a long to middle iron second over
a
- waterfall to one of the smallest greens of the course. Players should avoid
- leaving it right; the waterfall curls all the way around the right side of
the green.
- Par is a good score here.

Hole 17 * Par 3 * 203
yards
- This 14th handicap hole continues the string of fine finishing holes. A 2
or 3 iron
- tee shot is required to hit to a long and narrow green. A miss to the right
is still
- recoverable, but a miss left is an almost certain bogey.

Hole 18 * Par 5 * 546
yards
- This 4th handicap hole is a superb finish. It offers the golfer a chance to
make
- an eagle or even a triple bogey. The tee shot must split the fairway which
has
- water at left and a forest of trees at its right. An excellent drive leaves
the player
- 3 options: lay-up short of the spelunker bunker (cave), lay-up above the
bunker
- or go for the green which is guarded by another waterfall in front. After
the tee
- shot, this hole is uphill all the way.....an exciting and dramatic finish.
