FORTRUST Joins Powered by IO™ Program and Purchases IO.Anywhere Modules and IO.OS

Phoenix, AZ - May 14, 2012

IO, the leading provider of next-generation modular data center technology and services, announced today, FORTRUST, a premium data center service provider located in Denver, Colo., has joined the Powered by IO program and will transform their large enterprise data center by deploying IO.Anywhere modules and IO.OS software.

Powered by IO is a worldwide network of data center sites and service providers that are certified by IO to host IO’s technology to provide Data Center as a Service (DCaaS™) in exclusive markets. IO’s technology includes the IO.Anywhere modules and the IO.OS software. Through the program, FORTRUST, a high availability colocation and managed services provider, will offer Data Center as a Service (DCaaS™) utilizing IO.Anywhere™ modular data centers and IO.OS® software, which provides the intelligent control needed to maximize data center performance, utilization, resiliency and energy efficiency.

FORTRUST has signed as IO’s exclusive Colorado partner and will position DCaaS as enabling the foundation for cloud computing in the Rocky Mountain region. It also will integrate IO.OS with existing data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software to securely manage and monitor the entire data center infrastructure from a single pane of glass using IO.OS.

“FORTRUST is the premier data center provider in the Rocky Mountain Region,” said George Slessman, CEO of IO, “We are proud that FORTRUST has selected our technology and has joined the Powered By IO network.”

FORTRUST, leveraging the Powered by IO network, will use IO New Jersey and IO Phoenix data centers to deliver FORTRUST DCaaS from geographically disparate sites to customers. With the addition of the two new data center locations in Arizona and New Jersey, FORTRUST Powered by IO is now able to serve all west coast, east coast and Rocky Mountain markets.

FORTRUST has attained IO certification for DCaaS operations, sales and design. It has committed to use IO modular data center technology exclusively as the company expands its Denver data center.

“We conducted an extensive evaluation of how best to expand our data center and no other technology or business model came close to IO,” said Rob McClary, Vice President, FORTRUST. “In addition to providing unmatched, production-grade technology, the Powered by IO program allows us to reduce our capital investments and only purchase what we require – with new capacity delivered fast. Our first two modules will be shipped to our site next week.”
