IO, the leading provider of next-generation modular data center technology and services, announced today that they have been awarded a contract by web services provider BlueChannel, Inc.

As part of the agreement, IO will provide BlueChannel with Data Center as a Service (DCaaS™) delivered out of the IO Phoenix data center. This approach supplies BlueChannel a high-performance, cost-effective solution without having to invest resources in building and maintaining its own data center.

“We are moving to IO Phoenix after eight years with our previous data center provider because of the higher quality customer service and highly reliable power and infrastructure that IO provides,” said Paul DeCrette, President, BlueChannel. “We promise our customers a world-class hosting experience and are confident that IO’s world-class data center infrastructure will help us deliver on our commitment.”

IO Phoenix is the largest commercially available data center in the United States to achieve Tier III Design Certification from the Uptime Institute.
