IO Data Centers Announces Significant Expansion to Meet Customer Demand

Phoenix, AZ - January 8, 2009

New Site Enables Creation of New Data Center Inventory and Relocation of Corporate Headquarters Provider of Enterprise Data Center Services Helps Customers Minimize Capital Outlays

IO Data Centers today announced that it has acquired a state-of-the-art and high-power industrial facility in Phoenix. The new site will be called IO Data Centers Phoenix ONE and is comprised of a 530,000 square foot facility located on a 31-acre campus. IO Data Centers will convert the site to its next high-technology, high-security data center and will re-locate its corporate headquarters to the facility as well. The development plan is fully funded and calls for delivery of power and space to users beginning June 1, 2009.

The IO Data Centers Phoenix ONE site will be an addition to its current 125,000 square foot Scottsdale ONE facility and headquarters. The announcement comes on the heels of a recent $56 million cash infusion from venture capital firm Sterling Partners of Chicago.

“The Phoenix facility is a great fit for IO’s data center and the local community”, said Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon. “It is perfectly situated in Central Phoenix and offers the size and abundant supply of power to attract numerous Fortune 500 companies, while providing high-wage, highly-skilled job opportunities for local Phoenix residents. We welcome IO to Phoenix.”

Upon completion, Phoenix ONE will be one of the largest, highest-powered data centers commercially available, including a private electric utility sub-station which is designed to grow. The site currently features 40 megawatts of power which will be expanded to 120 megawatts.

IO Data Centers provides data center services to several of the largest web properties and enterprises in the world. The company has continued to thrive and expand in a challenging market.

“Our customers need scalable power and space to support their IT operations, and we help them do it in a capital-efficient way”, said IO Data Centers President, Anthony Wanger. “Even though the economy is slow, the demand for high quality data center power has continued to be strong. Our customers need to grow their IT operations and we help them do it. We have constructed a well-capitalized, profitable business and will continue to grow with our new and current client base.”

In addition to abundant power, customers at Phoenix ONE will be able to access dozens of telecommunications, internet and other carriers at the site, which is located next to one of the largest joint fiber trenches in the country. Several of the largest internet backbones in the world will offer direct connections at the site. IO Data Centers will remain carrier neutral, network neutral and will not charge cross-connect fees. This means that customers of IO Data Centers are free to choose the best carriers for their needs. In addition, IO Data Centers will continue to offer its high-quality, multi-homed internet bandwidth to its customers.

IO Data Centers is pleased to announce the expansion of its existing Scottsdale ONE site to add to their current capacity. After moving its headquarters to Phoenix ONE in January, the company plans to add two pods to its existing Scottsdale site to accommodate growth from both new and existing colocation customers. The IO Data Centers Scottsdale ONE site is one of the highest power and best connected data centers in the world.
