IO Data Centers Raises $51,220 For Phoenix Children’s Hospital
In Association with The Thunderbirds, IO Data Centers Contributes to PCH
IO Data Centers, in conjunction with The Thunderbirds, is proud to present Phoenix Children’s Hospital with $51,220. A portion of the donation is proceeds from the Poker for PCH tournament held during the 2010 Waste Management Open. IO Data Centers’ President Anthony Wanger and Chief Operating Officer William Slessman as well as The Thunderbirds’ Big Chief John Felix and 2010 Waste Management Phoenix Open Tournament Chairman David Rauch will present Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s Director of Development Kim Behrens and Special Events Coordinator Genevieve Villegas with a check on Wednesday, April 14.
The Poker for PCH tournament afforded participants the opportunity to support Phoenix Children’s Hospital and play poker while watching golf at the WM Phoenix Open. The event held in the IO Data Centers’ Corporate Village Tent accepted donations for entry with all proceeds donated directly to PCH.
“Phoenix Children’s Hospital is dedicated to providing first class treatment and services to children and their families,” says Mr. Wanger. He continues, “IO Data Centers is honored to contribute to an outstanding organization.”
Phoenix Children’s Hospital has provided hope, healing, and the best healthcare for children and families since its doors opened in 1983. Today, Phoenix Children’s is one of the ten largest children’s hospitals in the country and provides specialty and sub-specialty inpatient, outpatient, trauma, and emergency care to patients throughout Arizona and other Southwestern states.
PCH is currently in the process of a multi-year expansion to its main campus. The vision for this new Phoenix Children’s Hospital is to enhance clinical programs and increase overall capacity in its unique, kid-friendly environment of family-centered care. IO Data Centers is proud to support PCH, enabling the hospital to provide world-class care to children in our community now and well into the future.
The Waste Management Phoenix Open will be played January 31 – February 6, 2011 at the TPC Scottsdale. The tournament hosted by the Thunderbirds has raised more than $65.9 million for charities, with more than $37.9 million generated since 2004. The 2010 edition marked the 75th playing of the event, making it one of the five oldest events on the PGA TOUR (not including the major championships).
