IO Data Centers Selects Qwest

Phoenix, AZ - May 21, 2009

“Phoenix ONE” facility to tap directly into Internet backbone with port speeds up to 10 Gbps

IO Data Centers (www.io.com), the premier provider of data center solutions, has selected Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) (www.qwest.com) as one of its Internet carrier providers for its new “Phoenix ONE” data center – a 530,000 square foot facility located on a 31-acre campus in central Phoenix. IO Data Centers designs, builds and operates next-generation data centers for some of the world’s largest corporations and Web properties.

“It is vital that we offer our clients access to the best Internet service providers and Qwest helps us meet those requirements,” said IO Data Centers President and Founder Anthony Wanger.

IO Data Centers’ Phoenix ONE facility is carrier-neutral and is located next to one of the largest joint fiber trenches in the country with several of the leading bandwidth providers, including Qwest, offering direct Internet connections. Phoenix ONE will be a TeraPoP Layer 3 site, which means customers can connect to the Internet with speeds up to 10 Gbps.

“Qwest and IO Data Centers continue to bring technologically advanced businesses to Arizona,” said Chris Ancell, vice president, Qwest Business Markets Group. “We are excited about what this project will mean for Phoenix companies and those nationwide looking for additional bandwidth, power and more secure network capabilities to run new applications.”
