Stulz-Ats Working With IO

Scottsdale, AZ - September 30, 2008

A Greener Shade Of Data Centers

IO Data Centers is working with Stulz-ATS in an effort to create the next generation of reliable, low maintenance and high efficiency data centers. Together, they are accomplishing this by using one of Stulz latest innovations, the Electronically Commutated (EC) Fan.

The EC Fan is highly efficient and redundant, especially when implemented in Stulz-ATS unique cabinet design, bringing performance to a new level. The fans pressurized floor plenum design allows for maximum air circulation throughout customers core IT data center environments and the belt-free plug fan means literally no maintenance costs and dust-free surroundings. Combined with state-of-the-art microprocessor controls and the smallest footprint-to-capacity ratio in the industry, the EC Fan provides unparalleled protection and efficiency for the data center. IO Data Centers Scottsdale ONE facility is the first data center to incorporate such technology in Arizona.

“There is a major challenge facing other data centers”, said Anthony Wanger, Senior Managing Director of IO Data Centers. “Older cooling systems are not capable of removing heat generated by the microchips which run in todays systems. The advanced cooling equipment we have implemented, combined with our state-of-the-art design, allows us to meet and exceed todays most stringent cooling requirements and provide our clients with a more efficient, greener data center. This optimized performance allows us to pass savings on to our customers.”

Anne Shubert, Sales & Marketing Administrator, Stulz-ATS states, “We are committed to redefining what constitutes high reliability and performance in data center cooling. Our single biggest challenge and reward is finding and working in partnership with those companies who recognize this commitment and are willing to invest in an improved generation of data centers for their customers. We have found such a partner in IO Data Centers.”

IO Data Centers depends on Stulz-ATS for all of their CRAC units and humidifiers. With more than 80 units already in place at IOs Phoenix colocation facility, the company plans to add several hundred more as they build out over 100 Megawatts of digital-grade data center space. “We are proud to partner with Stulz-ATS to offer mission critical data center cooling and unparalleled reliability. Our Scottsdale ONE data center facility offers best-in-class data center infrastructure, including Stulz-ATS temperature and humidity controls”, reveals Wanger.

“Stulz-ATS is pleased to have the opportunity to work with progressive data center environment providers, such as IO Data Centers, whose very philosophy is not just aimed at accomplishing these very goals of high reliability/performance, but doing so in a greener shade”, states Oliver Stulz, President, Stulz-ATS.
