Question: Answer:
What's the next supplement scheduled for Pocket Universe?? Beast-Kin, a comprehensive lycanthropy sourcebook that can be used as an add-on for Teenage Demon Slayers, or as a stand-alone campaign book. No definite release date has been set yet, but we're shooting for early '02.
On PU page 2, the "Connected" Advantage says that Contacts are explained in section 2.7. But it's not in section 2.7, it's in 2.6. Yeah, it's a typo.
On PU page 3, the Night Vision Advantage says it negates penalties from darkness. WHAT "penalties from darkness"? Darkness yields a difficulty penalty (section 4.0). The penalty ranges from -2 for dim lighting to -8 for pitch blackness (only if what you're trying to do requires vision, of course).
On PU page 4 it states that literacy costs 1 EP. Does my modern day TDS character really have to spend 1 EP just to be literate? No. Characters from literate cultures get literacy in their native language (only) for free. We meant to say that, but we just forgot.
On PU page 9, it says that staves require two hands to use. But in section 3.2 it says that wielding a melee weapon in two hands reduces its PHYS requirement by 2. So does the PHYS requirement for staves indicate the required PHYS before or after it's adjusted for 2 hand use? Before. So a quarterstaff really requires a PHYS of 9, because you CAN'T wield it in one hand.
On PU page 10, it says that bows, crossbows and rifles require two hands to use. But it doesn't say anything in section 3.3 about lowering the PHYS requirement of a missile weapon when you wield it in two hands. What gives? Wielding a missile weapon in two hands does not reduce its PHYS requirement. That's just for melee weapons.
The table for helmets on PU page 11 has a column for PHYS, but there's no explanation for it. What gives? It's a typo. Ignore that column, it doesn't mean anything.
On PU page 15, it says that a knockout blow only inflicts the attacker's PHYS Effect in damage. But what if a missile weapon is used? Knockout attempts default to the attacker's PHYS Effect to simulate using the flat or the hilt of your weapon. Obviously that makes little sense for arrows or bullets. So the ruling is:  head shots with missile weapons (or using the edge of a melee weapon) do DOUBLE damage (AFTER armor), but do not force the target to roll to remain conscious.
