Animal Sketches

Back to Sketches Index

These are my various "animal" sketches. Not all of them are traditional animals, of course.

Catacorn

This is from my high-school days, around the age of 16 or 17. It was drawn on the inside cover of my "Creative Writing" folder.

Flying Things

From one of my college classes.

Hexawolf and Hexadeer

As you can see, I ran out of space to do the rest of the deer.

House Griffin

I think this was one of my earlier sketches, around 17-18. I prefer Susan Van Camp's Griffits, but I'd never seen them at that age.

Pegacats

Another of the sketches on the inside cover of my high school Creative Writing class, and thus undated. One is batwinged, one's featherwinged. Yes, it's suggestive.

Thangs

Just some creatures I was doodling.

Vorpal Bunny

This was during discussion of an Ambrose Bierce (I believe) short story. Vicious attack bunny. (If I got the author right, you may even be able to guess what, in the story, inspired it.) Needless to say, it is in the margin, and thus there are lines.
