Concerns Of A Soldier

<> Demiurge says "Okay. It's the morning, around ten-ten-thirty. Is Shannen going to be calling back at her cafe at all?"

<> Shannen says "Yeah, gotta keep up with business. And check messages. Something might have come up and someone just -might- have thought 'Hey, let's tell Shannen!'"

As she enters the cafe, she'd notice Tania, sitting at a side table, not-too-subtly watching the entrance.

Shannen gives Tania a little wave and pauses for a second, glancing between the counter and Tania, before moving somewhat in Tania's direction.

<> Shannen says "It's probably Dominic. It's -always- Dominic."

Tania half rises, nervously. "Ah, if you've got some spare time, I don't suppose we could talk a moment? I'll buy some more coffee."

Shannen nods slowly, speaking softly "Suurree. Would you like to talk upstairs; in my apartment? Don't worry about the coffee.."

<> Eduardo says "Mm. Yes. Tell Flower-Power Grrrl. :)"

Tania says, "Erm, whatever's easiest. It's just... stuff I need to ask. You know."

Shannen nods slowly "Ohhhkay." and smiles softly "Erm, just follow me, I guess. It's more private up there, so no troubles."

Tania nods. She puts down her empty cup, and follows.

Shannen makes her way out of the shop and over to the side stairs, and then up to the apartment, opening the door for Tania.

Tania goes in. She blinks, looking around. "Oh, this is really *nice*."

Shannen blushes faintly, closing the door "Thanks..erm..it's nothing really. Just a place to call home. Can I..get you anything?"

Tania says, "No. No, it's okay. I just need to, um, ask some stuff. You know."

Shannen nods, browing furrowing somewhat and motions to a few chairs "Have a seat, dear. What's wrong? Or what do you need to ask?" and takes a seat herself.

Tania takes a seat, folding her hands in her lap. "I was just wondering, what's going to happen to my friends if, well, they're doing something wrong."

<> Pat says "They go to hell! They go to hell and they DIE!"

<> Shannen says "Daimon, Pat is being mean again..."

<> Daimon gives Pat a cookie.

<> Eduardo says "We give them to Eddie."

<> Eduardo says "Eddie tells them what not to do, Pat judges them, *THEN* they die and go to Hell."

<> Hitherby says "They become Demon Princesses. Lucifer realized how good a deal the Lilith thing was, what with adding a whole extra Band ..."

<> Pat doesn't want to imagine gothlings as a new Band. *shudder*.

Shannen frowns "Oh dear. I'll imagine that Pat will want to talk with them at the least. It.. probably depends on how wrong they're being. Eduardo..might want to speak with them as well." She taps a finger against her chin "If.., I guess, they're doing this all by accident, and they don't mean to hurt anyone, then.. it won't be so bad. Probably watched."

Tania says, "That's all?" She sounds a shade relieved.

<> Shannen says "Boy, is she talking to the wrong person :)"

<> Pat says "Note that she didn't say what Pat and Eddie would do if they're being really evil."

<> Eduardo says "Don't give Shannen ideas."

<> Shannen imagines it would be very unpleasant with Pat and down right inhospitable with Eddie.

<> Eduardo says "Potentially they'd get a warm reception."

<> Aron says "warm har har"

<> Eduardo is practicing Pat's word.

Shannen nods, still frowning "Yes. It honestly depends on their intent and the results. From what you've said it seems that both are rather non-evil, everything should be okay." She brightens with that "Which reminds me - how are you feeling, dear?"

Tania says, "Oh, I'm fine. But, well, if they were just experimenting, that'd be non-evil, right?"

<> Pat says "Experimenting with the Infernal is never good."

Shannen pauses, squeezing her eyes tight for a second "Why were they experimenting?"

<> Pat says "Don't worry. I'll make sure they don't go to Hell. I'll kill them before they are totally corrupted."

<> Shannen baps Pat.

Tania says, "I don't *know*. I'm just guessing."

<> Pat examines Shannen for signs of possession. Readies his gun.

Shannen taps her fingertip against her teeth "I don't really know, then. We.. could talk to them, I guess. If..we had a Seraph.." She pauses again "Or, I could examine them, perhaps try and understand what the drug means to them and why?" She sighs a little.

Tania thinks. "But what if, you know, they didn't realise what they were doing? Just because I met angels doesn't mean everyone's going to."

Shannen nods "I understand. If they don't realize and they're willing to make amends, I don't see any problems." She smiles "To err is human; to forgive, divine."

Tania says, slowly, "But if they are guilty of making the drug, then I suppose they have to go to prison?"

<> Daimon says "Or they can give them all to me and I'll smoke them.... :)"

<> Jo says "Very noble ;)"

Shannen hmms softly "That depends as well, I think. If the drug has a controlled substance, then it would be illegal? Not all drugs are illegal, after all."

Tania relaxes. "That's true. It's not against the law if it's not addictive or harmful."

<> Shannen says "And even if it is, it may not be against the law :)"

<> Pat says "If it's really that new, it probable hasn't been scheduled yet. That's how Ecstacy stayed legal for so long."

Shannen sighs softly and pats Tania's hand, smiling softly "Dear, I will do my best to make sure everyone turns out okay. If you like, we can talk to Pat perhaps? He should know all of these things. Or perhaps, your friends as well."

<> Pat says "Oh man. Pat and Tania."

<> Pat says "That's bound to be an interesting conversation."

<> Shannen pats Pat "Be nice."

Tania says, "What sort of angel is he?"

<> Daimon says "A mean one."

<> Pat says "Judgment, baybee."

Shannen pauses for a second, tapping her finger against her chin "An annoying one." And giggles "Sorry. He's an Elohite, and works for Dominic, the Archangel of Judgment. They're very..strict..concerning their interpretation of God's will and law. They also tend to know quite a bit about human law, as well."

Tania frowns. "Is he *very* strict?"

Shannen pauses again and nods quickly "Yeah, I think so. And being an Elohite, he can't really let emotion rule his decisions. Everything is based on cold, hard fact."

Tania says, "Oh. Oh, right." She quickly moves on. "And they wouldn't be killed the way demons would?"

<> Jo says "No, much quicker!"

Shannen blinks and shakes her head "Nonono, God, I hope not. Humans are precious and saving their souls is such an important thing." She pauses for a second "Amendment and atonement are much superior to outright destruction. Unnnfortunately, the forces of Heaven don't try this nearly as often with demons."

<> Pat says "If demons atoned, they'd be angels."

Tania takes a breath of relief. "Thank you. I was worried about that."

<> Shannen says "That's the point."

<> Daimon kicks Pat.

Shannen smiles warmly "Don't be, Tania. I don't think it will come to -that-."

Tania relaxes. "I'm glad. So when I see Belle later today, I just act normal?"

<> Pat says "No. You will tell her that the time of Judgment is approaching!"

Shannen smiles "Of course. Everything is going to be fine. Just..keep on being careful about The Drug, until the others can tell you all about it."

Tania nods. She's looking more cheerful. "Thanks! You've helped a lot. I'll see what I can find out." She gets up.

Shannen beams "I'm so glad I could help you. Oh.." She blushes faintly "..If you see Catherine and Dai, could you say hi to them and hi to Bebe?"

Tania grins. "I'll be glad to. She's a _gorgeous_ baby."

Shannen nods "She IS!" and sighs "I wish I had a baby, sometimes. They're so precious."

Tania pauses, clearly trying to find the right words. "Can't angels have children?"

<> Pat frowns at Shannen. Takes notes.

<> Shannen gets out a shovel. Starts digging.

<> Pat nods solemnly.

Shannen frowns "It's..different..than humans. I suppose the unglossed, rather bad sounding way to put it is.." She frowns more "I can't think of a way to explain it, actually."

Tania says, "Offspring? Scions? Descendants?" She pauses. "You don't... do it like amoeba and divide?"

Shannen coughs and shakes her head "Nonono. It's..my Archangel - Novalis - she would take a piece of me. A piece of my essence. And from that, she would make a new angel, although a little one. Kinda like a baby angel. If two angels want a baby, they can both give of themselves..." She pauses "This sounds strange, doesn't it?"

<> Shannen is explaining the Birds and Bees to Tania :)

Tania blinks. "Well, no, not really. It sounds a bit like human reproduction but without the sex and with an Archangel."

<> Eduardo misses the 'and' for a moment.

<> Shannen cackles.

Shannen blinks as well "It does? Fancy that...we're so different and so alike." a smile "I always thought we were a lot different in that manner."

Tania shakes her head. "It sounds to me as if it's not _that_ different. You'd just have to get your Archangel's permission?"

Tania says, "But didn't you ever, well, check up on the biology?"

Shannen nods "Yup. I don't..well..quite understand it all." She clears her throat and blushes deeply "Well, our..vessels can't get pregnant. I didn't..worry too much about that. But.. hopefully that will be fixed soon. I'm signing up for parenting classes." She smiles brightly "Just in case."

Tania laughs. "That's sweet! Who's the father going to be?"

Shannen pauses, chewing on her lip for a second "Promise not to tell anything? Please."

Tania says, "I promise," very sincerely.

Shannen whispers "I'm..going to see..if I could adopt a little human child."

Tania blinks. "That is so caring. It's lovely. I wish you the best of luck."

Shannen blushes deeply "Thank you. I may need it. I'm going to try my best..and I'll need permission from Novalis beforehand as well." She smiles "I really hope everything works out."

Tania nods. "I hope so too. I think it'd be lovely."

Tania grins. "I should be going, anyhow. Take care?"

Shannen blushes deeper "Yeah, it would, although it'll take a lot of time out of other activities. But a child is more than worth it.." She nods "I'll try. And you take care, too, Tania. And if you need anything, give me a ring or come by. I'll try my best to help."

Tania says, "Thank you. I will!" She makes her way out.

Shannen helps Tania to the door like a good host "Byebye!" She grins "Keeeppp smilin'."

Tania laughs as she leaves.

Shannen plops into a chair and curls up with her parenting book for a second, before getting up to make some coffee.
