From the enclosed instructions "The figure depicts a Celtic chief. The Celtic warriors did not
favour the use of armour. They preferred to fight almost completely nude. Only the chiefs
used helmets and ornaments."
This photo shows his shield which was painted with
bright anthropormorphic designs.

The model came in multiple pieces which I pinned and epoxied together. I think I would have had better results with the pants if I held off with the placement of the shield. The shield blocked easy access to painting the pants.
The hand and the spear were also separate, but I waited until the
last moment to epoxy those in place.
Rather than use the supplied white metal spear, which looked
like a wet noodle, I cut a new brass wire spear, which looks
a lot more straight and deadly.
