Space Exploration Books
Mars
This is a list of books about Mars and Mars exploration. I haven't read any of these, yet, but they've been recommended to me by various sources.
- The Case for Mars
- by Robert Zubrin and Richard Wagner
ISBN 0684827573
This book is an excellent introduction to the issues involved in exploring, colonizing, and eventually terraforming Mars. There is enough technical detail to show that the ideas are sound while it's still clear enough to be understood by the relatively nontechnical. All of the science is explained and even domonstrated. Anyone interested in space exploration or Mars in particular should read this book. You'll wonder why Man hasn't already walked on the surface of Mars...
- Mars One Crew Manual
- by Kerry Mark Joels
Ballantine Books
Apparently this books details a realistic manned mission to Mars using current technology. It assumes a working space station. I've been looking for this one for a while...
