Remember no one is asking for an end to traffic calming, just TC reform. You be the judge.

"SPEED
BUMPS BLAMED FOR BACK INJURIES, BUMPED HEADS"
WEDNESDAY, MAY 10, 2000
| AUSTIN, Tex. (Wireless Flash) -- Speed bumps are a real pain in
the butt -- literally. That's according to anti-speed bump activist Rick
Hall, who says speed bumps are causing all sorts of injuries ranging
from back pain to bumped heads. Hall claims one woman even went into a
coma after hitting her head while driving over speed bumps. He now runs
an anti-speed bump group known as Americans Against Traffic Calming, and
he wants the bumps removed and roads narrowed to slow traffic -- but
some experts don't agree. A spokesman for the Road Information Program,
which researches highway safety, agrees that speed bumps are intrusive
but research proves widening roads is the best way to calm traffic.
