Clinton the Coward

Bill Clinton isn't just a coward. He's a coward's coward.

- He ran away from the draft.
- He ran away from his line-item veto pen.
- He ran away from his family vacation to raise money in another state.
- He's afraid to show his face in Utah ever since he sold it out to his friends in China and the Lippo Group.
- And now he's running away from his duty to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Clinton cronies are out there spinning webs of conspiracy charges against Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr. They've claimed he's gone to far. They've claimed that he's made McCarthy look good. And they've claimed that he's out of control.

My friends, if all of the above is true, then there is only one course of action. President Bill Clinton has not only the ability, but the obligation to fire Kenneth Starr. If Starr has gone as beserk as it is claimed then President Clinton owes it to the sanctity of the Constitution, the dignity of his office (Note: I said his "office".) and the hard-working, taxpaying citizens to fire Kenneth Starr.

For some reason, the Coward-in-Chief has refrained from doing this, thus far. Chester J. Carville has yet to offer any explanations.

Quote of the Week:

non-qualified white boys

Former Illinois Attorney General Roland Burris is the front-runner for the Democratic primary in the Illonois Gubertorial race. At least, he was when he dismissed his opponents as "non-qualified white boys".

Burris has since apologized, sort of: "If I used the word boy, I apologize."

That's right -- they're non-qualified white MEN. But they're also Democrats, so that goes without saying.

Blumenthal's Shoe is on the Other Foot
Or in his Mouth

White House communications aide Sidney Blumenthal was called before Ken Starr's grand jury last week in an attempt to uncover any efforts to interfere or tamper with the grand jury process. Blumenthal, before invoking executive privledge, argued that Starr was trampling on his First Amendment rights and Freedom of the Press.

Many in the media may have agreed with Blumenthal, but a notable dissenter was Matt Drudge, the man currently being sued by Blumenthal for a story published in the Drudge Report. Blumenthal demanded that Drudge release the names of his sources for the story he printed.

When asked about Drudge's scathing report last week, Blumenthal dismissed it, saying there's a big difference between what he does and what Drudge does.

There certainly is: Matt Drudge is a reporter and publisher of a news magazine; Sidney Blumenthal is neither. Blumenthal is, however, a media hack on the public payroll, so why shouldn't he answer questions.

Just Who is Playing McCarthy Here?

If you had mentioned the name "McCarthy" to me as a kid, the first person I would've thought about was the old sailor man who hosted the Popeye cartoons on a network in NYC. "Six bells and all is well," Captain Jack would say.

All isn't as well these days, particularly when someone is throwing the name "McCarthy" up there -- something that happens when they can't get away with "Hitler."

As stated above, Ken Starr and staff are being accused of McCarthy-like tactics. This, of course, begs the obvious question:

Who is it that's acting like McCarthy?

Let's see: intimidate, smear and destroy all enemies or suspected enemies or anyone providing aid to enemies.

You drag a hundred dollar bill through a trailer park and see what you get, a trailer-park bimbo with big hair who made her case in some right-wing publication and went on TV flanked by right-wing extremists.

Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Right-Wing Conspiracry?

If that doesn't tell you anything, ask yourself which side declared "waw" on the other. And have you heard anyone complain of a "West-Wing Conspiracy?
