You heard it hear first. Clinton will be hauled in front of Congress to testify about his fund-raising funny business, and this will be his defense:
Republican Senator: "Mr. President, how do you explain this black ledger found in your position? It appears to be filled with scores of names of contributors, each giving seven-figure donations. That's millions of illegal contributions. Several of these names even have multiple stars next to their names, and cross-indexing has found that many of these have been overnight guests in the White House. How do you explain all this away?"
President Clinton: "You have it all wrong, Senator. That's not my ledger, it's my black book, and those aren't donations, they're phone numbers. Those scores of names are simply names of scores."
