Subject: Guardians Questions -- HELP!

Joe... This is a great game!! I love the combination of strategy and movement in a card game. However, I have a few more questions to add to the ones asked:

1) When reinforcing a shield, the rules say I can move any creature from a stronghold to any one turned shield. Does the move limit come into play here? Or, can I move that creature as far as needed?

2) What's the point of the creature pen and storage depot? Isn't this basically just your hand?

3) The rules say "Secondary Attackers can't be beaten"; What if they still don't add up to enough to beat the primary attacker? Wouldn't they lose then?

4) In the same vein, can you play multiple secondary attackers in order to add up to enough?

5) Do you have to play any secondary attackers? Or can you keep them in your combat hand and choose not to use them?

6) If you can keep them in your hand, do unplayed attackers left in your combat hand count toward the total vitality count for control of the space?

7) If a player chooses the option to discard a shield and all its' contents (see p.40), does that shield count toward his opponents victory condition?

8) What's with the Pink Flamingos? They obviously can't defeat anyone. Do they just roll along until a channeler or some lucky combos stop them?

Thanks in advance for your help. Keep up the great work!

1) The movement limits are in effect. No more than two spaces, and the Creature(s) cannot cross uncontrolled terrain.

2) yeah. The big thing is that if your hand has unplaced Creatures, then a player could inadvertently put these Creatures into a Combat hand. This is why the Creature Pen should be placed underneath the Guardian, to avoid such confusion.

3)No, Secondary Attackers cannot be killed. The best way to understand it is to assume that the match-up Creatures are busy fighting each other. Secondary Attackers jump into the battle later. They can kill the target if the numbers add-up, but either way, the target is too busy battling the primary opponent to be able to attack the Sec. Attacker.

4)Yes. Just play them one at a time, to allow the opponent to use spells or bribery.

5) No reason not to use them. You MUST reveal all the Creatures from a Shield in Combat. Why wouldn't you want to kill off the opponent's Creatures???

6)??? Any Creature which survives the combat counts to the Vitality total.

7) yes. I absolutely hate that sentence. But Luke won't explain it to me.

8) Pink Flamingos are great lawn ornaments (think about it)

Joe can worry about the rule questions, but I have to chime in on my favorite card.

The flamingos rule. While they can't defeat the opponent, they can force a retreat. If you can first cut off your opponents retreat path (already done if your opponent was flying),they can destroy a shield. They are also a great way to get one territory up on your opponent in the first or second turn.
