16-18	fingering to baby weight	6-8 sts/in	2-3
13-15	sport wt to dk weight	5 1/2 - 6 1/2 sts/in	4-6
11-12	“worsted weight”	4 1/2 - 5 1/2 sts/in	6-7
9-10	bulky	3-4 sts/in	8-10
8 or less	super bulky	2-3 sts/in	10.5 to 15

Please note that this chart is approximate only. You still need to do a gauge swatch. Also, the term “worsted” is a general category of size to knitters. To spinners it is a specific spinning technique and not related to size at all.
