"You Really Do All Of This?"
Frequently, when I'm stopped in public by someone who has seen me tatting or knitting,
the first thing they will say after expressing curiosity is, "I would never have the patience
for that." This is a misapprehension. Handcrafts are not for the patient, the people
who can sit idle with their hands still and do nothing. It's the impatient folk, those
whose hands twitch when we're forced to sit in a doctor's waiting room or on a platform for
a late-arriving train, who are well-suited for handcrafting. The best handcrafters are
people for whom idle moments are opportunities to create.
On this page, you'll find some of my knitting, crochet, tatting, origami, quilting, and handspinning,
along with a bit of information on each craft and a few patterns sprinkled here and there.
If you're curious about any of this, read on!
