Moment of Web Zen
There’s a tree I’ve decided to put in my backyard. I know what it looks like, but I don’t know what it’s called. So I tried Google, and stumbled on this wonderfully strange Nursery web site. They seem to have randomly added images scanned from magazines, catalogs and who knows where, to the plant photos.
Here are a few favorites.
Leg with Peapod (scroll down)
That's "Mister Pink Fluffy," to you.
I don’t think this one is Photoshopped, but it’s just as inexplicable.
I’ve got a magnolia, and I’m not afraid to use it! (scroll down)

It continues on their other pages too:

The pictures are charmingly inarticulate. As if images are a second language that the person doing the Photoshop work is struggling with. They either say things they don’t mean, or they say exactly what they mean. Like, “Leaves pretty like pretty leg,” or, “Big bug attack gardener. Hee hee.”

So did you find the tree? Or were you scared off?

After a couple of pages I stopped looking for the tree and started looking for funny pictures. I'm surprised there isn't a good Identify-a-tree wizard somewhere on the web. There are a few, but they only have a dozen or so trees. Might as well look at them all.
