  • The Tampere Art Museum has information on "Friends of the Moomins":
    "Friends of the Moomins was founded on the 18th of February 1991 with the aim of developing Moominvalley as an artistically interesting tourist attraction and to promote Moomin philosophy and Moomin knowledge together with the City of Tampere officials.
    The Friends have about 3500 members, the individual membership fee is FIM 30, corporation membership fee is FIM 300 and supporting membership fee is FIM 50."

    They published a musical CD and put on plays as well. They maintain a Moomin shop in the museum.

    "Since summer 1993 the Moomin family and their friends have been staying in Naantali, at the south-westernmost tip of Finland, next to Turku. During the past four summers 800 000 Moomin friends altogether have visited them.

    • Mummitrollet og hatten This site in entirely in Norwegian, and appears to be a great resource. You can order the books (in norweigian), look at a map of Moominvalley, etc., find Book and Cassette tape sets, and even pins.
    • Mummitrollet på video Moonimtroll on video! These are in either MPEG or Quicktime format. The site is all in norweigian. Last time I checked, none of the video links were working.
    • Moominland. "In Naadendal, an ancient city close to Aabo in Finland, there is an island where you can find the home of the Moomintrolls." This website has pictures of this city and the fanciful Moominvally Park that's open to visitors.
