Fazia Rizvi is the former University Webmaster for Texas State University-San Marcos. With over 10 years of web development experience in higher education, her background includes everything from design to development, strategic planning, front-line customer support, training and documentation. She has helped steer web site development projects, plan for development and implementation of web applications and major web site improvements. She was often involved in user-related aspects of university-wide software projects including an online classroom management system and a web content management system.
Fazia is also involved in advocating for, and educating about, web site accessibility and was frequently the spokesperson for technology projects to end users. She is currently completing her M.A. in Anthropology, focusing on emerging cyberculture, giving her a particular insight into user behavior and needs as well as online culture and the formation of community online.
