After the intros were done, we went off to the woods. We went a little ways into the woods and tied up the horses. There were four paths that lead into the forest. Elkazar chose the left. Bob's character is some sort of shape changing thing. He showed up as a wolf. So he was sent off scouting. While going down the trail we ran into a couple of horses grazing. They didn't see us so we backtracked and went down the next trail. Leaving Bob behind. Down the next trail we saw two pegasai. So we went off the trail to try and cut over to the next one. They parralled us. So eventually we started for them. Elkazr prepared a Web spell. Before the Pegasai charged they paused. So I commented "Earth to Big Giant Head". Rudy stuck one and it faded away. Illusions. So we disbelieved and the other went away.
We continued on and heard voices of elves talking about hunting. Louie came up with the idea of his approaching them to lead them into a trap. He took off his helmet and he was an elf under there. Never got the why to that. So he went off to try that. I forget the specifics but some how he was fooled and ended up in a pit with giant ticks. Bob came running back in wolf form at some point and started telling us that there were some tiny creatures around us. He then wanted to change form into something else but had decided what it was yet. While he was thinking I said you already have a land animal so pick something that flies. He ended up picking a sparrow.
So Bob turned into a sparrow and started flying around and turned invisible. How located the enemy and told Ray that he would land on Elkazar's shoulder and tell him the location. Of he was still invisible, lkazar hears a voice next to his shoulder and, being insane, attacks it. Bob learned a lesson. Said he wasn't hurt badly.
Eventually Bob pointed out where three pixies were and Mr. Noid put them to sleep. Louie then bashed their heads in with his mace. Elkazar then took one of the pixies and put it on a stick. So I said "Ah, a Pixie Stick". Nelson is getting is preserved.
We then passed by a hut with some sort of woman spell caster (witch) that zapped a couple of pixies that were reading a spell book. Bob retrieved the spell book. I didn't both asking how a sparrow could pick up a spell book and fly with it, but Ray let him do it. Bob would have gotten zapped himself but the witch initially was looking for good creatures, not evil. Bob gave the book to Elkazar.
We then ran into an Ent. We started fighting and killed one tree before Ray (playing the Mage NPC) used charm plant on the Ent. Ray didn't know the NPC had a Charm Plant spell. That speeded up the way to the elves.
Got to a clearing. The Ent was sent back to guard. We finally charged. Elkazar cast an ice storm on the largest group. Rudy, Mr. Noid, charged on a stone horse. Bob went into "Form of a sparrow". Louie did something. I don't know what. I hung back initially with Elkazar. As a 1st level person I thought that was prudent.
Rudy and Nelson took care of the majority of them. Bob did a backstab on the prince and killed him. He was visible then and if we had not won initiative he would have been dead from the guards. Ray told him that he wasn't helping him anymore. I got two elves and then chased after of the Princes personal
guards that was running away. I did catch him and he was kind enough to remove me of 92% of my hit points in one hit. Luckily I hit him too and killed him. Then everyone was in a rush to leave as reinforcements were supposedly on the way. I took the risk to make to detour to check out the
Princes tent. There were some boxes and a chest. The chest was too heavy to move, so I opened it. As I did I said "And the Saving Throw" and Ray then said to make one and I said I did. He said "How did I know to?" I made it. Pretty lucky with only 1HP left.
We then left. Return and delivered the body (we were supposed to bring him back alive). Elkazar got a hint that it might be wise for him to take a long vacation somewhere else. Something about a "loose cannon".
