Here's the scoop on the Legion, with the most current items
first.
24MAY97 - RayCon I
- The Legion is trying a new schtick. Since at many cons we invariably end up in our room(s) hanging out and playing games amongst ourselves, we thought, "why not just go rent a hotel room or suite and do the same thing for less money?" So we planned it. The first one fell through. The second was better, but with only Lee and Ray G. attending other than any Delgados, we just held it at their home. Tune in, though. The next one is scheduled for June 14th. Be there.
24MAR97 - ConnCon 97
- The Legion was again covertly attending this con. Ray D., Lee Bob, Ray G. and Rudy were there; playing Jyhad, PLayStation, and playtesting Ray D's newest Call of Cthulhu scenarion. It was great fun. The moral of this story is; never give us free access to a conference room.
12FEB97 - Dreamation 97
- The Legion was in quiet attendance at this past Dreamation. Ray Delgado ran some 'retired' characters through some harrowing perils. We went to see the Star Wars Special Edition release. Since we hadn't seen each other for a long time, we mostly hung out. And, in true Dilbert fashion, four of us tried to network our PC notebook computers together (for some purpose that is lost to us...).
11FEB97 - The Babies are Coming!
- The Legion has been quiet, and I think I know why. The Baby Boom has hit! Congratulations to Ray and Evelyn Delgado; Ryan's baby sister arrived on December 30th, just in time for that handy tax deduction. The whole family is well. In other baby news, Chris Trump is an expectant Father. I would congratulate his wife by name, but I'm ashamed to admit I don't know it! In even MORE baby news, Nelson and Francia Remy are expecting their second tax deduction around September/October. Congratulations and well wishes to all!
08OCT96 - Everything's Quiet
- The Legion has been fairly quiet. Everyone's been busy with work, family, and other personal events. There have been some small updates to the web pages. See the What's New page for details. Efforts will soon ramp up for RealmCon, the Legion sponsored gaming convention in Sunny Miami next February. Stay tuned!
19SEP96 - We're Still Here
- Yup, we're still alive. I've been busy with travel, and most members
have been similarly occupied with travel, work, family, and other such
things. There will be some new stuff here soon - I promise.
16JUL96 - New Members
- Hail and well met to two new members. Lydia Leong we first met via
the Internet, and finally met face-to-face at DEXCON 5. We found Bob Ralston
at DEXCON 5, where our offer of a place to crash turned up common interests,
a decent guy, and a good gamer. Best of luck in the Legion to both
of you!
15JUL96 - DEXCON 5 is over
- Club members attended DEXCON 5 in force; running, playing, and coordinating
events until we dropped. Look for further details within these pages.
08MAY96 - New Delgado on the way!
- Adding further to the late baby boom, Ray and Evelyn Delgado are expecting
a new arrival on December 19th. We are all happy and excited for them!
06MAY96 - Ray Delgado to be published in Dragon
- Dragon magazine has bought Ray's article. Congratulations, Ray, your
hard work is paying off. Expect to see his article sometime this summer.
- Members Ray Guerrero and Nelson Remy both received mention in the June
issue of Internet World magazine. Columnist Eric Berlin ran an AD&D
game on IRC (Internet Relay Chat) where both of them played. Check out
their 2.5 seconds of fame.
01MAY96 - SilverSheen Alpha campaign getting new life
- Ida Cooley, having recruited new players into the Alpha campaign (Colorado),
is restarting. We hope to hear details soon.
22FEB96 - RPGA Events for DexCon 5 Finalized
- After much gnashing of teeth and beating of breasts, Ray Delgado has
the final list of RPGA
events for DexCon 5.
12FEB96 - RealmCon is Over
- Our brave troops are back from sunny Miami, Florida where they helped
run RealmCon 96 for the second year in a row. Once they recover
and get their voices back, we'll have more information and reviews. Good
work gentlemen!
02FEB96 - We're on Yahoo!
- Our pages were finally posted on Yahoo!, the internet directory. What
is the net result? Whereas before one or two web surfers would wander in
every day, the past two days have shown an average of 80 visitors. I hope
they like it here.
15JAN96 - Ray Delgado is RPGA coordinator for Dex
Con 5
- Ray Delgado will be the RPGA event coordinator for Dex
Con 5 this July. He's been busy lining up events and judges. It's too
early to reveal much, but if you like RPGA events, Living City, first-run
events, and plenty of tables, you're going to love this. More later.
06JAN96 - "Fear and the Flame" Playtest
- Ray Delgado playtested his latest RPGA tournament, a one-round
Ravenloft event titled Fear and the Flame. The playtesters enjoyed
it! The adventure was well-balanced, and the character concepts were great.
This tournament should show up at this year's GenCon. The playtesters were
Evelyn, Bob, Lee, Luis, and Ramon.
