CP Classic Grabs Four Medals at AAU Jr. Olympic Games
Led by the swift front running of Madison Boreman and Jeremy Brown, the CP Classic Running Club grabbed four medals at the AAU Jr. Olympic Games National Track & Field Championships at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa 08/03 through 08/08/2009.

Boreman, competing in the Sub Midget Girls division (athletes born 1998), earned two top-three finishes and almost grabbed a national title.  Early in the 3000-meter run, Boreman and eventual winner Antwonette Thomas broke from the rest and had a spirited battle for the lead.  Boreman hung on well for the second place silver medal in a time of 11:04.00.  Boreman also grabbed a bronze medal in the 1500-meter run in a time of 5:12.96.

Brown, competing in the Midget Boys division (born 1997), was also a double medalist.  With a push-the-pace racing style in the 3000-meter run, Brown ran well in the tightly packed race for fifth place in a time of 10:25.65.  Brown's additional medal came in the 1500-meter run, in a rare absolute tie, not even the photo-finish camera going down to 1/1000 of a second could separate Brown and his fellow competitor, Austin Gray.  Both Brown and Gray were awarded the 7th place medal in the ime of 4:52.37.

Also grabbing top-25 spots were Ryan Brown, 11th in the Bantam Boys (born 1999) 1500-meter run in 5:20.46; Nikki Keys, 12th in the Midget Girls (born 1997) 3000-meter run in 12:04.53 and 18th in the 1500-meter run in 5:28.31; Hillari Raemsch, 23rd in the Intermediate Girls (born 1993-94) 3000-meter run in 12:09.17; and Bailey Kennemer, 23rd in the Youth Girls (born 1995) 1500-meter run in 5:28.55.
