further knowledge of the series is needed.

She doesn't like me.

The short blond girl thought to herself, as she stared at the ceiling of
her bedroom from the safety of her bed.  She wore "hello kitty" PJs and
hugged a plush pink bunny rabbit, in blue jeans coveralls, to her chest.

Why doesn't she like me?  I tried so hard today, but she wouldn't even
look at me.  Just like yesterday, she was always talking about me, but
she wouldn't talk to me.

The blond girl turned over and looked at a photograph on her desk, in
the light of a "Sailor Moon" night-light.  She touched the plastic daisy
on her head, the same one as in the photograph of her and another girl.

I said how neat her new gizmo was, but she didn't notice.  A-ko was a
little surprised and that's all that mattered.  "The Blue God of Death!",
it didn't last long.

The blond girl giggled, but her grin quickly faded.

Later in class, she still wouldn't even look at me, no matter what I
did.  She looked straight ahead, and when she thought nobody was
watching, she'd turn the other way.  To look at A-ko.

She doesn't like me.  She likes A-ko.

With that revelation, the room got a little darker, the night a little
colder.
