The Choir Invisible
The anti-preacher station required a substantial number of people to run
it. The preacher himself, of course, along with an operator for the hydraulic
lift propelling the AP to eye-level, and a few hidden voices to respond
to the preacher's declamations. One other person was stationed in the hallway
before the preacher's room to control timing.
