This index was extracted from the bookNew York in the War of the Rebellion, by Frederick J. Phisterer, Albany: J. B. Lyon, 1911. 6 Volumes. Phisterer's register lists only these 100+ soldiers, almost all of whom are officers. These names comprise only 10-20% of the regiment. A complete listing of the enlisted men will be added when a master list is found.

The register itself contains information on the soldier's age, rank, enlistment dates, prior service, commissions, prisons and paroles, and sometimes death and burial information. Please feel free to send a lookup request if you would like to see this information.
