Teresa, thanks for your note. I had a wonderful time, and wish I could have stayed longer. The staff there did a great job. I would be happy to recommend it to others...........(Rainforest Lodge)

Hi Jim, sorry not to get back to you sooner but I've been out on travel. The trip, speaking for all three of us, was the single most best week of all of our lives. The trip could not have been any more phenomenal. Sandero in Manaus was great and Conrado our guide was unreal. He made the trip for us. He was so knowledgeable and so skilled at everything, it was such a delight. We already sent 3 colleagues to them as a referral. They had an equally great time. I think at first both guys were a bit unnerved as I guess most people dooing these types of trips aren't women with polished fingernails, but after the first few hours, we were whacking things with machetes and catching piranas like pros. We slept in hammocks etc etc. I would recommend this trip to anyone, particularly if they can be with Sandero and Conrado. Thanks for all yours and Teresa's help.................(Brazilian Amazon)

Dear Jim:
As I have been telling everyone, the trip was all that I expected and wanted it to be. The people and places were great, the experiences fantastic, the...well you get the message. The guides I had were primarily Rudi and George and the boatman was Fucundo as some such spelling. It was a tie between Rudi and George as to who was the best. I leaned toward Rudi for his better knowledge and quite confidence; a born leader in my view. Everyone was more than willing to go the distance to make the trip pleasant and informative and enjoyable. It was all of that.................(Rainforest Lodge)

Dear Teresa,
We enjoyed it all! Australia was Annette's favorite, as she found more zest in the Australians. I agree with her. But, New Zealand was a delight as well, though more of that came from the sightseeing than from the people.

Jim and Teresa,
The hiking trip was great with lots of 6000 + foot mountains. Some days were a little tame, but the scenery was gorgeous. We only had two partial days of rain with temperatures in the 60's and 70's. It was quite a surprise to arrive back to wet snow and freezing rain. The grim reality of having to make a living now sets in. Hopefully our next expedition will be to Iceland and Greenland. Will contact you then. All the best and many thanks. The trip is over but the memories will last............. (N.Z. Wilderness Walks)

I want to make sure everyone understands that I still had one of the best trips of my life these small problems not withstanding. My local travel agent, Kathy, called today and I told her the same things. I even recommended this trip to her for her personal vacation. (She had asked me to check it out for her; she likes more adventureous travel as well. I saw some of the Explorama companies' facilities and remembered having them in consideration before I chose A&E. I am very glad I chose A&E, explorama appears to coddle you too much. I bet you can't go spear fishing one on one with your guide in a dugout with them............(Rainforest Lodge)

Will gladly serve as a reference for anyone asking about the trip!........(Doubtful Sound Kayaking)

Hello, Jim
We had a GREAT time at the Amazon river, it definately was an experience to remember. All the others who participated in the trip were also very pleased with it. Our guide, Conrad, obviously had great knowledge of the area, and he was also very good at sharing this knowledge with us all the time. I think that those who didn't join us on the Amazon became quite envious when they heard of everything that we had experienced over there. We are extremely thankful for all the help and service we got from you, and I can't really remember anything that wasn't satisfying. We were also very happy with the boat, the size of it was perfect in my opinion. The food we got was also very nice, very different from what we are used to. Thanks a lot. ..............(Brazilian Amazon)

I would be interested in going back, Peru is the only country that I've been to twice and enjoyed it.....[other than the UK&Canada].....there is something special about the geography and the people....but I'll admit, I did like the "unknowns" on the trip....much better than a minute by minute itinerary...more exciting.........(Lost Cities of the Amazon)

Trip was absolutely great. The operator in Peru did everything to make our trip perfect. They were always where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be. There guides, Marco, Freddy and Gustave were outstanding. The food on the trail was great, Guillermo the cook is a four star cook...Matt wanted to bring him back to the states! We would highly recommend them to anyone. Also the people of Peru were very friendly and none of the problems which we read about on the Web ever happened to us...in fact, quite the opposite...folks went out of their way to be helpful.
