------------------------------------------------------ The following is basic information concerning the 18 Armenian runes. Each rune is a symbolic representation ov abstract forces ov the universe. /|\ All ov the 18 armenian runes fit together, as a puzzle, |\|/| into the world crystal (left). This is an excellent |/|\| protection sigil in and ov itself. The body mudra consists \|/ ov extending the arms and legs out and visualizing a line from below the feet to above the head and visualizing connecting lines between the points. Each rune contained within other runes can further explain each other, as well as what is NOT contained within the particular rune. The following is an excerpt from the lessons I was taught ... following that is my own words and comprehension ov the runes. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Runes are not accessable to logistic mind games. Runes are undefinable with our language. They cannot be satisfactorily explained within the framework ov any ov the existing esoteric or metaphysical systems. Runes can be experienced on levels which are not accessable to logical and verbal description. "Runa" in old Germanic language means murmur. The sacred sound ov creation. Runa, or murmur, evokes in us the idea ov a creative act, expressed by undefinable sound, set in action by a voice which comes from the depths ov creation, which penetrates everything : Invisible sound which links us to the ETERNAL NOW. It does not matter to us whether a technology is "true" or "false" but solely whether or not it is useful. Practice is more important than material-planes based "logic" which never can get you free ov the bondage ov material levels! The magician who creates the better mappings is the stronger magician. ------------------------------------------------------------------ The Armenian runes are not used for divination. They are used for meditational/practical and philosophical purposes; focuses on specific forces at play in reality and consciousness. Runes can be combined with one another in the framework ov the World Crystal. Combined runes are referred to as bind runes. I'll give a couple ov examples ov useful bind runes following the expansion upon the original 18, and welcome you to formulate your own and discuss your revelations openly. Each rune has a hand posture and a full body posture. These are referred to as MUDRAS. I shall do my best to describe these. If there are any questions concerning any ov this, do not hesitate to ask. Another important note which I was taught concerns what is referred to as an 'inner' and 'outer' rune realm. The outer rune realm is something which is physical and tangible. My personal outer rune realm consists ov my rune ring, which was given to me upon my completion ov my training in the Knights ov Runes, my rune staff which I carved personally, and a set ov 18 crystals, set up upon my altar surrounding my elaborate protection spell. The inner rune realm is a completely subjective location within the active visualization ov the individual. IE, it is totally different for each person and represents a 'safe-haven' ov sorts where one goes to within the mind to meditate on particular runes. Within this inner rune realm should be a mental thought-construct ov each rune (for example, one may visualize being within a cave or temple and be surrouned by crystals with each rune imbedded within them, or on tapestries, or in a forest with trees shaped as the runes, or what-not). The 18 Armenian Runes are as follows : | IS (eeesss) - The Individual Will - Ego, self discipline. | Rune ov the personality, ov the magical powers ov self- | consciousness. The ONEness which connects everything | to the ONE. Strengthens the personality by calming emotionally charged thoughts, controls thoughts. Procures magical powers through self-discipline and through elimination ov that which is unnecessary. (note : all runes but GIBOR contain IS) MANTRA : iiiiisssssssss, iiiisssssiiiissss MUDRA is fairly obvious ... either hand, flat palm pointed up. Full body is merely standing form. | KA (kah) - Slack - the force which connects us to the |/ universe, manifests synchronicity; intuition and | inspiration : also, sexual energies. Useful for | protection against magick and increased courage. MANTRA : k-k-k-k-aaaaah HAND MUDRA : left hand, flat, pointed up with ring finger as the bar BODY MUDRA : both arms together at an upwards angle. | AR (ahr) - Rune ov light, ov the Sun. Wisdom, beauty, | virtue, trust, honor. Rune ov the initiate. Symbol /| ov the child ov Light which returns from darkness. | Allows control ov subconscious thought patterns and recognizes their origin. Rune ov reframing. Brings change from within. Certainty which dissolves doubt, Limitless vision MANTRA : aaaaaaarrrrr, rrrrraaaaa HAND MUDRA : left hand, palm flat, pointed down, palm inwards, ring finger at a down angle BODY MUDRA : left arm pointed straight up, right arm pointed down at an angle | EH (long A sound) Cosmic Union - Transcendence |/ Brings the Two to the One - Also connects two lives /| Divine, unconditional love and union. It is the rune | ov ideal love, ov twin souls. (note: connects AR and KA) MANTRA : long A HAND MUDRA : lower right arm, pointed up, lower left arm crossing at mid-lower right arm at an angle up to the right BODY MUDRA : arms pointed out, right at upwards angle left at downward angle, both palms up |\ LAF (lahf) - Be Here Now, the constant flow ov the | ever-present moment. Rune ov Life, ov the law ov | life, ov the original laws ov the universe, ov the | original waters. Rune ov the sea. Rune ov the etheric part ov the body. Rune ov initiation which experiences life on earth as a process ov initiation. LAF brings understanding ov the life process, ov true re-ligion. MANTRA : lllllllaaaaafffff HAND MUDRA : left hand, fingers together and bent down BODY MUDRA : both arms together pointed down at an angle. /|\ TYR (teer) - Solitary Warrior (note: contains LAF - | the warrior must be acutely aware ov each moment.) | Rune ov the god who sacrifices himself, certain ov | resurrection. Rune ov initiation, reincarnation and ov being born again. Helps to overcome fear ov material death and is used to aid in the recalling ov past lives. MANTRA : t-t-t-t-t-tyyyyyyrrrr HAND MUDRA : arms crossed at the elbows, lower arms parallel and together with fingers bent down at an angle. BODY MUDRA : arms pointed down on either side |\ RIT (reet) - Rhythm, motion & grooving (note: contains |/ LAF and KA) Used to tune into rhythms ov the worlds, |\ strengthen inner guidance and strengthen the power | ov visualization MANTRA : rrrrrrr, rrrriiiit MUDRA : thumb and pointer touching, other fingers bent down BODY MUDRA : arms pointed out in front, left slightly above the right to form a triangle, left leg slightly out at an angle | FA (fffffah) - Energy (as in life energy, chi, prana, |/ etc), rune ov original fire, change, spiritual creation | - Useful to attract and transfer life energy. |/ Strengthens personal magnetism & acts creatively in love (connection to KA). MANTRA : ffffff (visualize fire, or flaming FA symbol), fffffaaaaa HAND MUDRA : left hand, flat, pointed up, thumb & ring fingers as bars. A crystal can be put between thumb&finger to aid in transfer ov energy. BODY MUDRA : arms pointed out, slightly off-set and angled upwards with palms out |\ BAR (bahr) - Spiritual Rebirth (also focused on to aid |/ in childbirth) Rune ov revelation, birth ov the |\ spirit, ov continuous transformation, death and rebirth. |/ Return to the Mothers. Life, hopes & wishes. (note: contains LAF, KA, RIT & FA) MANTRA : b-b-b-b-b-baaaaaarrrrrrr HAND MUDRA : left hand pointed up, fingers and thumb forming top triangle, right hand fingers and thumb pointed toward left wrist to form second triangle BODY MUDRA : As RIT, but leg bent so foot touches the knee to form the lower triangle /| OS (long O sss) - Spiritual Leadership, ie, a guide or | mentor. Rune ov Odic energies. Rune that frees one /| from the bondage ov the material world. The latter is | best illustrated to see that OS contains the left bar ov TYR and the left bar ov YR MANTRA : oooooooossssss, ooothththiiiillll, oooodaaalll HAND MUDRA : left hand, pointed down, palm in, ring finger and thumb angled out BODY MUDRA : arms angled downward, slightly off-set | NOD (nahd) - Divine Justice which balances Karma \| NOD helps to master your Karma once it is accepted. |\ Leads to Truth (left bar ov MAN) and breaking free | ov restrictive boundaries (right bar ov YR). Aids in fitting into the cosmic order. Brings protection ov high spiritual entities. MANTRA : nnnnnnn, nnnnoooooddddd, aepandinam HAND MUDRA : left hand and lower left arm up with right lower left arm crossing mid-point ov the lower left arm BODY MUDRA : left arm angled up, right arm angled down | MAN (mahn) - Truth - Symbolically represents Man reaching \|/ up to the spheres ov the Divine. Rune ov directing Mana | powers. MAN leads to Divine magic and unfolding ov life. | It protects against enemies and increases and strengthens the aura. It opens the mysteries ov MIMIR, the mysteries ov original memories, or ov root-memories. Used for reaching in the spheres ov the Divine. Note its connection to KA as well as NOD as the left branch ov NOD is not contained in any other runes [the need for spiritual purity to reach Truth]) MANTRA : mmmmmaaaaannnnn, aaooouuummmm mmmaaannniii padmmmmmeeeee huuummmmm HAND MUDRA : left hand, thumb, pointer and middle fingers pointed upwards BODY MUDRA : arms out to sides, angled upward, palms up | YR (eer) - Breaking free ov restrictive boundaries | Desire for completion and perfection. Rune ov karma /|\ and ov karmatic tests. Roots ov the world tree, from | which life springs. YR overcomes the illusion ov the material world, which is often a painful process bringing radical changes and a sudden overturning ov affairs. Overcomes the illusions ov neuro-semantic environments Recognizes mappings as mappings. The Roots ov the world tree (note: contains AR and the other bar ov NOD, ultimately when one frees oneself from limitations, one achieves limitless vision ov AR) MANTRA : yyyyyyyrrrrrrr HAND MUDRA : as MAN with hand pointed down BODY MUDRA : arms out to the sides, angled down | HAGAL (hah-gahl) - Symbol ov the omnipresent and all- \|/ penetrating creative energies. Rune ov the world tree, /|\ ov the world, ov the Tree ov Life. Combines MAN and YR, | NOD and EH. Symbolizes maintenance and equilibrium ov the moving universe. Continuous change. Used for protection and harmony. It serves as a solid point within the flight ov phenomena. Increases the functions ov the pineal gland & solar plexus. MANTRA : hag-all BODY MUDRA : arms outstreatched as MAN with legs spread apart, visualizing a cord extending from above the head into the universe and between the legs to connect to the earth |\ UR (oooer) - metaphor (putting abstract concepts into | | the here and now [LAF]) Cause ov causes, original | | creation, the 3 norns (goddesses ov fate & destiny). | Used for healing on the etheric levels, opening clairaudience and increasing the capability ov recognizing true causes. MANTRA : uuuuuuu uuuuurrrrrr HAND MUDRA : left hand, pointed down, palm facing in with fingers as IS bar and thumb parallel to the fingers as the right bar BODY MUDRA : bent over with arms pointed to the ground \ GIBOR - We are one - Rune ov the wheel ov life, ov union \ / ov the god and the world, ov creator and created. GIBOR / \ harmonizes the relations ov twin souls, unifies the \ energies ov the I and YOU in a cosmic context, both reaching into the common universe in a true cosmic wedding. Leads to cosmic consciousness and the deepest mysteries ov the universe.note first this is the swastica minus two counter-leaves. The nazis used this to represent the nazi nation as a unifying force. The pracitcal aspect ov this rune is found when examining its parts and what it does not contain. It is easier to examine if you imagine what it would look like if it contained IS, the individual will (which it does not) [ |\ ] thus, it contains KA, AR, MAN, YR, HAGAL, EH, NOD, [ \|/ ] LAF and RIT - GIBOR can thus be seen as the [ /|\ ] underlying, unifying force behind these runes, [ \| ] minus the individual will ov IS. MANTRA : ggiiibbboooorrrr HAND MUDRA : sort ov difficult to explain, but cup both hands to form two incomplete squares, point the left hand in and down at an angle and the right the opposite way at an upwards angle so that the backs ov the hands form the bar that makes up EH BODY MUDRA : it is not possible, to the best ov my knowledge, to accurately depict this rune with the body go figure, it isn't a subjective rune, but a wholistic one. Any suggestions or further input would be appreciated, tho SIG is a rather special case. The rune as was revealed to me originally, I discovered, was a veiled form ov the complete SIG. SIG - (seeg) - the Rune ov Light, ov the Sun, the rune ov Victory, success and good luck. It is the Light in spiritual contemplation. It symbolizes the path "from God to God", the path ov the soul. Rune ov the spiritual ray, ov inspiration. It brings knowledge, wisdom, illumination and increases power ov the spirit, visualization and magical powers. | VEILED SIG - IMPORTANT note which I realized but was not |/| taught to me: this conception ov SIG fits into the world | crystal twice. The nazis were aware ov this. Note that the double SIG was used for the sigil ov the Nazi stormtroopers). | UNVEILED SIG - note how much more complete this is : | |/| AR, KA, EH, IS and the 'bringing down from the abstract' |/| | bar ov UR | MANTRA : sssssssssss, sssssssiiiiiiig MUDRAS: I will explain the mudras as were shown to me, although these represent the veiled SIG. I'll leave it open to discussion, but I believe it a viable meditation to focus upon the veiled nature ov SIG and the utilization ov the veiled mudras. HAND MUDRA : left hand, palm flat and facing in, thumb up at an angle, right hand, palm flat, tips ov fingers touching thumb BODY MUDRA : squatting without touching the ground with your butt Kinda funny, I sit like this naturally all the time THORN is a particularly interesting case, which is why I have saved it for last. This represents the second major realization, and by far the most important ov the two (the other being SIG, as the veiled rune was what was shown to me). THORN is the rune ov activity, active mind, active exchange. The rune ov opposing polarities and the joining ov opposites. Awakens the will to act. Helps to get in touch with the continuous change ov existence. Protects against attacks and strengthens the Aura, especially the mantra. The MANTRA for THORN is : thththththth thththoooorrrrnnnn The way that thorn is depicted in the lessons which I was taught is : | |\ |/ | This obviously does not conform to the world crystal as the other runes quite clearly do. There are three ways to fit the triangle facing right upon the world crystal. My original difficulty was determining which one. The basic definition for THORN as stated above is the Rune ov Opposing Polarities and the Joining ov Opposites ... the Rune ov Active Exchange One thing I noticed in my examination ov this in regards to the world crystal is the following representation ov what happens when two opposing energies come together, shown on the world crystal : | |\|/| |/|\| | They are at odds ... this can be counter-balanced by flowing the energy all in the same direction : |\ |\|/ |/|\ |/ I have found that this rune is an excellent sigil for the mending ov relationships and the joining ov opposing ov wills, countering the slamming into each other's wills represented by the opposing arrows by making the energy flows all in the same direction. I refer to this rune as THORN-BAR, but I believe that this is indeed the true THORN rune. It contains many runes, but what is most important, specifically regarding this conception ov THORN is what runes are not contained within it: TYR - THORN is not a rune ov solitary nature as it is the joining ov opposites. OS - it is not one ov leadership, or one higher than another, but the harmonious flow ov energies. UR - the right bar ov UR (that represents the 'bringind down ov the abstract') as this is not an abstract or metaphor. GIBOR - it does not represent a whole single unit, but the interaction and balancing ov two opposites. Being the rune ov active mind, THORN definitely contains IS. I shall expand upon the other alternatives containing but one triangle and IS. | Here we have the slamming into the individual will rather |\| than active exchange, unless it is perceived as one SIG |/| and AR and the left bars ov MAN and NOD. | | This contains the lower bar ov FA, particularly ov note is | the connection ov FA to how it acts creatively in love, as |\ well as the right bar ov NOD, which is also balancing. |/ |\ This is an interesting combination ov KA and LAF which is |/ depicted in other runic systems (particularly futhark) as | the rune ov joy (wunjo) and is indeed a rune ov joy, and | possibly a viable rune in and ov itself, but certainly not sufficient to fulfill THORN. I believe that the most accurate description ov THORN is best represented by what I referred to as THORN-BAR (all three triangles). The MUDRA that I have devised for this is but one triangle, formed by the pointers and thumbs, facing right, with the fingers fanned out around. I leave this rune totally open to discussion. --------------------------------------------------------------- A couple ov examples ov bind runes /|\ TYR-MAN-KA (TYR and MAN specifically) - these two \|/ runes combined are an excellent focus for past-life | regression. | /|\ This is an excellent bind rune for self meditation \|/ in general. /|\ | --------------------------------------------------------------- Also note, the order which I presented the runes here is not the original order ov the runes, rather this setup is for ease ov teaching, as you will see that the runes build upon one another.
