Holy Titclamps Guestbook

Here are some comments from visitors to the Holy Titclamps web page. I've decided to close the guestbook due to mostly spammers posting these days. If you're not a spammer, send me email if you'd like to discuss the website.

Looks like a few homophobic idiots have left their "thoughts." I'm not going to delete this stuff because I thought people might like to know what kind of stupidity exists out there. To the bigots out there, why don't you try actually reading the contents of this web site instead of parroting the lies your church, schools, talk-show hosts, etc. taught you.

If you'd like, you can read Old Guestbook Entries

Hey LB, Good to see you at the most recent Matt Gonzalez shindig; at least, I THINK it was you...! the art was good, the companionship was good, the greenery was good..."all good"...? Joe Lynne claimed the Party was in his honor, but he says that about every gathering... I have 37 pieces of my work on a C.D. that I'd like to get to you; we're having people over for salad and wine tonight (biodynamic pea tendrils, wild arugula and magnificent raddichio from Stone Free Farms...) but you probably won't get this in time...another time then. ... And let me know where and when to bring the C.D... Love, Faerie David

Your website is a good work, was touched by your memorial to your friend Drew. As i am in riverside county, i can understand some of the angst of his life. And since i'm here in the Coachella Valley, I know just how rare anything from the queer punk movement is. still get most of my culture imported from San Francisco. oh well, don't let any of the haters give you anything but inspiration........ hugs bh1

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior? John 3:16 says God loves us so much that he gave his only son so that we may have eternal life. " ...If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Romans 3:23 NIV says "for ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God".Romans 6:23 NIV"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" Romans 10:9-10 NIV. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."1 John 1:9 NIV. "...'Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ' " Acts 2:56 NIV. "God will give to each person according to what he has done. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil. "Romans 2:6-9NIV.

Too true - it's been a while since various parts of the site were updated. The concept is that rather than adding to the mailbox at this point I'm to try to work on a new Queer Zine Explosion which will then be posted to the site - I haven't made much progress yet, but once I get my taxes out of the way I will devote much time to it and hopefully catch up by the end of April...

I just wanted to say that I feel totally at home, whilst perusing through your e-zine. I am a young gay man who feels disconnected from the gay "community". I like thrift|vintage shops, listen to the Cocteau Twins, Lush, The Autumns, drum 'n' bass, tech-house, etc., etc..... NOT THE GENERIC/FORMULAIC TOP 40 POP TRASH OR NASTY HI-NRG CURCUIT PARTY TUNES....bleccch! I also love the artwork of Vaughn Oliver, worship pop rock candy |note: the fizzle is magnificently pleasure inducing to the tongue and mouth|, ordering cherry pepsis from the Roxy Diner.... And as an ethnic minority, I am happy to see that you don't splash your site with the usual mainstream caucasian-blondehair-blueeyes-muscleclad-guy-in-a-speedo model.

ATTENTION Record Breakers, a record/cd store in Hoffman Estates, IL, has a rather large section of white power music. More importantly, however, they are selling new cd's, not used and hard-to-find vinyl. In other words, they are buying directly from nazi labels; they are financing organized racism. Here's what to do. 1. DO NOT SHOP THERE. 2. CALL AND ASK THEM TO REMOVE THE STOCK. Their phone number is 847-359-7544. 3. SPREAD THE WORD. If you know people in the record industry, tell them not to sell to the store. If you print a zine, tell people not to shop there. You get the idea.

A thought. It is true that the gay scene is just as repressive and homogonising on a whole as everything elce in society is, I wouldn't think otherwise being an overweight, messy, emotionally stable homosexual, however, under whether or not so and so is a poser or an individual or whatnot, the lines may not be as clear cut as we all would like to think. Consider, there is a differnce between being being a singular person (as apposed to being a hive mind person) and being an oddity. Very often individuality is connected, falsely, with being a freakin weirdo who keeps vomit in a mason jar and re-writes "Animal Farm" word for word exept for every animal they write urinal. Its very possible that "individuals" are among the hive mind society and that is just their chosen rout of expressing themselves. Do I like those people? No. Do I classify them as posers offhand? No. To say somone is part of the hive mind and cannot think for themeselves is something that cannot be told untill you suffer thought being around them. Why anyone would I'll never know, tho

I should never visit this site. While I'm reading, I'm laughing out loud and buzzing with 'pride'...for lack of a better word, but afterwards....afterwards, I want to march out of my house and throw myself into the street for a semi to flatten me. Its suicidal envy: Larry-Bob gets all the best queer zines, gets to see and meet all the best queer punk bands (queer punk bands? where? since when?), and even has a smart boyfriend. Meanwhile, I'll get up at six in the morning, drive to the goddamned Monticello Electric Plant Board, hear again how my co-worker's hick husband got his kidney stone "busted out in a giant bathtub!! by a soundwave!!," return home, and hope I can drive my boyfriend away again with the evening news since I'm too scared of loneliness to break up with him. I'm just a bitter windbag. Larry-Bob's da shit.

Like your web page tremendously. One of the only people alive today who actually has the temerity to post a page with MAUVE in it! Pray to Saint Joris-Karl you remain in operation, but don't you think you should be doing films? One of your photos suggests you were separated at birth from John Waters. --Divine.

I need a good map of San Francisco. I'm writing a paper ab. homosexuality in S.F. and I need a good map that's more than just a road map. Help me please! Anything with major locations in the gay community would help a lot! Thanks!

Green Bath -- thanks for the comments -- I'd like to discuss this further -- please email me. Anyway, my actual beliefs are a little more subtle than that particular rant. Sure, I realize there's a distinction between pot and heroin, but hey, it's just a rant. While I'm an abstainer from drugs and alcohol, I feel they should all be legal, and if people want to use drugs that's their concern. On the other hand, some people have behavior that's made even more annoying than usual by drugs, which was basically the underlying reason why I wrote the rant. There's a lot of crystal meth-heads in San Francisco. For more on that, see this rant by Somaboy.

You make good points about being forced to represent all of queerdom. But on the other hand, it is symptomatic of current culture that we have an "I'm getting mine" thing rather than a "let's do this for all of us" attitude that was around when people were fighting the civil rights battles that enabled us to live our little hedonistic lives today.

Generally, I don't mind marginalization. Just this morning, I was considering my own heterophobia as a natural, and thus - JUST thing. Then... I find your Generic Queer Homepage rant on "tweaking." It was most depressing to me. What is with the straight-edge thing? I agree one and hundred and twelve point two percent that drug abuse is a detriment to 'true' queer liberation, but I also recognize the concept, albeit cliched one, of moderation. If a straight drinks, he is drinking. If a queer drinks, he is a drunkard. If a straight is smoking pot, she is relaxing. If a queer is smoking pot, she is betraying her own weakness of character, and her undoubtable reliance on 'heavier' drugs (for those that do respect the difference between say, ginseng, and uh, rat poison.) In short... I resent that everything I personally do or do not do is representative of queer everyman. It simply isn't. I have not struggled to stay afloat in this straight culture for the sake of all queers. Just for the sake of me. If I had done it for the sake of everyone, I'd have struggled in vain. Because that wouldn't allow for digression. Call it rationalizing, if you want. (But otherwise - I love your page! In fact, I'm using two of your 'rants' in a term paper for my right-wing, "Christian-therapist" Sociology proffesor who is, I swear, named LINDA BLAIR-Mounce!!)

...hat come in here and feel so compelled to leave hate mail. what pleases me is that they even come in at all. that means that they actually took time out of their pat robertson day to type Fag in their broswer, and then click on it to come in here. if they hate "fags and dykes" so much, why bother to come into a web page that you know damn well is gay oriented. the only thing i can thinkis that it's actually a cry for help. Don't worry dearies, you can't help it that you're straight! we won't hold it against you here. And how in the hell did this whole gerbil thing get started? And a shout out to the baby batter guy.....when was the last time you got some great head? okay, phew, i think i'm done ranting, thanx to whomever read this. again...larry..great job!
