Queer Bands On Tour |
I thought it would be nice to have information about queer bands on tour in one place so people looking for information on queer punk, queercore bands, gay rock, homo-hop, or whatever you want to call this stuff, could find it easily. Follow the links to the lists of dates. In some cases the lists are on other sites which have been updating listings, so even if I say a band's not on tour, follow the link to see if there's more current information. I also list some non-band stuff that's happening in places besides San Francisco, like queer films, etc.

THE NEW GAY:
The New Gay is here to get your motor hot, thinking on a visionary
quest for a newly gay horizon, with such treacherously beautiful
possibilities. We hope to give you a show that brings forth queer
art that is new in the sense that it's rarely valued; not seen in
a march of name tag poster boys and girls who rule the streets for
the day. We are not so much reactionary gay with rainbows
to let you know, it's about a new living,
the constant digging deeper in film and performance. And let me
warm you now, the new gay is only the beginning,
of something that has already started, the revolution of living and
pushing forward with kicking thrusts to the edge of our society,
a fringe of the fringed that we would like you to be
a part of, at least for one night. From Sleazy
Drag Kings to 'Scream Club' rapper mohawk babies, to
'Eva Los Vegas' doing traditional latin music and much more
with a hottie lady to kick it. Films, performance,
music, spoken word, and more: we hope to show
you something a little NEW that you don't see in
a pride gay world, or even in other parts of town.
Costumes and Drag Gender Babies highly demanded and encouraged!!!
If you feel that this is your new calling and you want
to be a part of this performance and film extravaganza, please
e-mail ELLIAT at mermaidelle@yahoo.com or call Jaime
at The Little Theater at (206)329-2829/(206)675-2055,
