APPEARANCE:Because Espeth is a shapeshifter, it's somewhat difficult to guess what his actual appearance is. His usual form is:
Race: Human
Sex: Male
Age: 20
Height: 6'7"
Weight: Appears to be about 250 lbs., actually 99 lbs.
Skin color: White
Eye color: Blue
Hair: Steel Grey, straight, mid-neck length
Other features: Appears tough with rough, hard hands.
He also has what he calls his diplomat mode: a human male, late 20s to early 30s, blond, blue eyed, slightly above average height, weight appearing appropriate to the height (though he still only weighs 99 lbs., no matter how much he appears to weigh), very hansdome.
He has two other forms known to his fellow troubleshooters, an elven male and a Winged Folk male.
Given his overwhelming choice for male forms, it's suspected that his true gender is male. And given his low weight, his true form is probably quite short.
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES:Like most of his colleagues, Espeth learned to read from Chris, who was the only literate member of the group to begin with. He rather obviously has some innate shapeshifting ability. He is naturally charismatic and is never surprised by even the bizarrrest of cultural behaviours.
On the other hand, Espeth has a tendency to do weird and obnoxious things that no one really understands. This causes some bad reactions. He is also addicted to pipe tobacco and greedy.
PERSONALITY QUIRKS:Espeth hates green and likes to wear grey. He likes jokes (which contributes to some of his weirder behaviour). He likes his food spicy. He is cocky, but not dangerously so.
SKILLS:To go along with his shapeshifting ability, Espeth is an excellent actor, can fast talk his way out of nearly anything or be more diplomatic if the situation seems more appropriate to that. He is also well-versed in courtly behaviour.
He also commands a good knowledge of many thiefly skills. He has been observed to be very good with lockpicking, shadowing, and stealth.
His weapon of choice is the knife, which he can throw, fast draw, and fight with.
His native language would appear to be Midlands English. He also speaks Elvish.
HISTORY:DoB:May 29, 295
Little is known of Espeth's history before his employment with the baron. He has never spoken of his family and none of his fellow PCs have ever met any. He, likewise, seems to have few old friends in the area. This is somewhat mysterious, given thart he speaks Midlands English natively.
Espeth was employed in espionage, but between jobs, when he met and made the acquaintance of a knight-- Sir Thomas of the Order of the White Sash. He accompanied Thomas on a brief visit to the Barony Morgan and there met the baron. He learned the baron was hiring people of unusual ability to be troubleshooters. Espeth sought out the baron and applied, telling the baron of his previous experience as a spy. The baron hired him and he has been with the baron ever since.
