Jim Driscoll's Fossilized Home Page

Greetings! This is yet another home page without much to say. (At least I'm being honest about it!) I've thrown this up on the web as a way to publish my Java Page. I first put this page up in mid-97. Since then, I've changed jobs, moved across the country, and learned alot, especially about the Internet and Java (I work writing an all-Java Webserver). At this point, most of the stuff here veers between the amusing and the embarrassing - but I'm going to leave it up anyway for a while.

Technical Information:

Some time ago, I wrote a Java Networking FAQ. You may find it useful. It is showing it's age, though.

I'm currently working on a Java Performance FAQ.

Since so many people asked about it, I wrote up how HTTP keepalive works.

Another question that seems to get asked far too often - how to manipulate the browser's cache from the server side.

I also have my resume here too.

About the only thing I regularly update on here is my pictures

Finally, despite an utter lack of popular demand, I have a page where you can learn all about me. Includes exciting action photos! (Yawn.)

Mail me!
