Fanfiction.net Review Replies

Ff.net has stated that they would prefer if authors do not include lengthy review replies in their stories. So, since I'd actually like to keep my stories there, but would also like to thank all of those who took time out of their day to review my stories, I've decided to move my replies off-site. So, here we go:

Pianissimo Butterfly:

Chapter 5:

  • Thank you to: firedraygon97, desolatedreamingdeath (Tohma's not sooo bad.), HeartOfGarnet, pinku-chan (Ack! Now there's saliva on the fic!), bombay_229, duenna, Sani, Amora-Ryuko, Wakaba-sama (Don't eat me!), anon, pinksakuya, bergfjel, Rabid Bat, Bisexual Pygmy, and Sukura.

  • bubblytokki: I am hoping to end this by chapter 10. Originally, I thought I could get it done in 6, but some extra ideas came to mind, and I'm just...verbose, I guess.

  • SanoGirl: Thanks so much for reading, and for your continued support. :D I hope chapters 6 & 7 keep you interested.

  • hidesfaerie: Ryu? Get in trouble? Yeah, I think he might be heading for some. :D

  • StarryEyedChick: Hopefully this chapter should give you a first peek into Yuki, and what's been on his mind. Yikes, eh?

  • Xpyne: Ahhhhh, I don't know. If I could be as manipulating and smooth-dealing as Tohma for a day, that might be fun! Jury duty wasn't so bad, but very boring. I'm 27. I don't know if that qualifies for adult or not. Can Ryu-chan have a happy ending? I don't actually know. I have two different endings in mind. In one of them, everyone ends up happy, and in another, some people lose out bigtime. I might write them both, eventually. Who knows? Well, I can't comment on the physical logistics of Yuki and Tohma getting it on, because I just don't want to think about that...too hard. Thanks again for all your kind words and your wonderful reviews.

  • mirai aria: I'm so glad you got around to reading the story! I'm sorry it makes you uncomfortable, though. I know some of the characters are a bit -off-. I really am trying to get my hands on the manga, so I can "know" the characters better. Can't tell you who ends up with who, though. :D Wink.

  • Daemonchan: Well, I didn't toss Yuki off of a building, but I did have him eaten by butteflies...sorta. I hope that will suffice for now.

  • Nocturne's Requiem: There's no Shuichi death planned but...now that I think about it. Hmmm. Maybe Shuichi should die! No, no, just kidding.

  • Yami Tsuki: I seriously didn't start out to make this story as angsty and dark as it's turning out. Really. I thought it would be funnier!

  • The Demonic Duo: Thanks for helping me out with the word-of-mouth recommednation! I really appreciate it so much.

  • Ranger: I think it is going to be a bit longer than I originally predicted. I guess I am just longwinded. So sorry.

  • Shimizu Hitomi: Yikes! That's more Sarabande's than I knew about. I actually know very much ZERO about music, so I'm just winging it...a lot. Hophopology? That's...uh...the science of hopping, of course! Thanks for reading, even though I get the impression you're not a huge Gravi fan. :D Oh, and we were talking about you over at the RKDreams forum the other day!

  • Aibyouka: Drugs and rape? I hadn't thought about that, but now that I do, I guess it could make sense, also. And, see, no one got -physically- hurt in this chapter. Emotionally, maybe a bit, but no broken glass or tire irons. :D

  • Shot Hunter: Oh no! No deliquency! Get back to studying! :D

  • Rath: I'm glad you're enjoying the story. Sorry about Nittle Grasper, though. Yikes. Hope you don't hate me too much.

  • Yma: I definitely think Ryuichi is getting more stable. He's not so encapsulated in his own little world anymore, which I think is helping. Plus, I do think that just having Shuichi around is helping deter some of the loneliness which may have caused some of his "crazy" symptoms. Thanks for recommending me, btw! And thanks for reading.

  • noali: Depression, eh? That's an interesting thought. You might be right, you might not. Hehehehe.

  • Veleda: Yes, but sexual tension is so hard to write. Much harder than action, probably the hardest thing of all. Because so many authors have already said so much on the subject, it is hard not to be boring. Well, Yuki finally enters the scene. :D I hope you'll read the next chapter.

  • hopemia: Unfortunately, the only store in town that has manga is A) on the other side of town and B) has a LOT of manga. So, when I do make the trip out, I tend to overspend my budget. So...I try not to go often. I think Tohma is a -little- psycho scary Then again, almost everyone in Gravi has SOME sort of mental problem, so what can you do?

  • Abby-WCD: The lamp made you cry? *hands tissue* So sorry. :(

Chapter 6:

  • Most warm and wonderful thank-yous to: Akina Tsukana, Aibyouka (No bonking, now!), pinku, Majoko (Addicted, eh? Great!), SanoGirl, HeartOfGarnet, yume, The Demonic Duo (Thanks for the word-of-mouth!), firedraygon97, Bisexual Pygmy (Ah, but GOOD is relative.), Sukura, and duenna.

  • Yma: I'm glad you like the story! Hopefully the ending won't make everyone hate me!

  • Pato San: Well, I am very glad, indeed, that you found the story and liked it! It is, indeed, so hard to sift through the mess of ff.net and find decent stories. I almost wish they had a rating system, to go along with the review system, but I am betting people would figure out how to abuse that, too. I'm sorry I haven't replied to your email yet. I get really behind on my email when I am writing. :( Anyway, thanks so much for recommending the archive. Great place.

  • Duo: Hopefully, this next chapter will shed light on the Yuki thing, finally. Thanks for reading.

  • Rabid Bat: Maybe they will, maybe they won't. Hard to say. :D

  • Lara: But, you have to admit, Tohma probably looked better in a button-down yellow dress shirt than Shuichi would. :D

  • Veleda: I'm glad you liked the hand thing. I'm rather obsessed with hands, myself. That might come across in my stories, as I am often talking more about character's hands than I do their other attributes. I try to curb my obsession, though. And, of course, as you already know, the quote you liked shows up again in a later chapter. :D

  • Elk: Hm! I never really thought about it that way, but I suppose it is true!

  • StarryEyedChick: Good point! It is, indeed, very hard to sever emotional ties. That will probably become more apparent in chapter 8. But, is Shuichi stronger, or is he just getting better at masking his feelings? Hmmmm. Something to think on for me, personally.

  • pinksakuya: Hurricane Shuichi! Indeed! They should name one after him!

  • hopemia: Nah, Tohma's not really as heartless as he seems. I think all the characters have weaknesses and strong points, and that will eb really made apparent in chapter 8. I hope. I never thought of Ryuichi and Tohma as being opposites but also smiliar in a yin/yang sort of sense, but that is, indeed, very observant.

  • Abby -WCD: Well, I don't think Tohma is so bad, but probably a few characters in this story could use some slapping around, Ryuichi included. Anyway, as far as Ryuichi knows, Yuki just beat Shuichi up the once, albeit somewhat badly. Though, it seems that the fact that Yuki was telling Shuichi that he had been sleeping around caused more damage than the physical wounds.

  • bergfjel: I don't know. I think Yuki Eiri could become a mass-murdering nutter, and Shuichi would still be obsessed with him. Hard to say, though.

  • Burned Vamp: Well, while I think Yuki is probably a mildly jealous sort of guy, in this case, as you saw in the next chapter...he had a far more cruel test in store for Ryu.

Chapter 7:

  • Sixty million zillion thanks to: hopemia, Akina Tsukana, Prodigy-X3-Bombay (Sorry for the cliffies!), Tenchibat, jezebel, hidesfaerie, pinku, imayb1 (Glad you are enjoying the story!!), StarryEyedChick, Bisexual Pygmy, and firedraygon97.

  • SanoGirl: Thanks! I am so glad that you are enjoying the story.

  • Yma: There's not a lot I can tell you about the review reply thing. Comments by the ff.net admins on the front page of ff.net during April made it seem like review replies were no longer permitted, but the wording seemed to leave it debatable. I've had a few people mail me and say they talked to "Xing", the creator of ff.net, personally, and learned that review replies more than a few lines were illegal. But, it is hard to say. Ff.net can be nebulous about that sort of thing, sometimes, so I am just taking mine off-site altogether until I read something solid.

  • PatoSan: That's an interesting theory on the butterfly/crow story. There's actually a lot of ways you can interpret it right now, but I can tell you that Ryuichi got a few details of the story wrong, and he will be corrected by the author of the story in chapter 9. He also has some of the characters in the wrong places. Heheeheheh. Silly Ryuichi. I think this story would probably be altogether boring if told from any (sane) person's point of view. Only Ryuichi makes it fun, really. Anyway, thanks for all your props and your support. You're the greatest!

  • Abby -WCD: Kumagoro is such a big meanie, isn't he? But, in chapter 9, we find out that Kumagoro isn't actually Kumagoro. Okay, enough on that. It would be kinda fun to watch Yuki just go on a murderous rampage, but probably not too good for the plot, eh? Actually, I don't believe in Writer's Block. I just tell myself it doesn't exist, and sit down and write anyway. Once you crank out a few paragraphs, it starts flowing smoothly again. But, I work hard on my writing. I try to do 3-5 hours of writing a night, on both fanfics and my novel. But, sometimes I get sidetracked by other things. :D

  • bergfjel: You liked that phrase? How strange! Hehehehehe. Ryu seems to often forget what he is wearing, ne? Like the time earlier in the story when he walked into his livingroom naked, and Shuichi was there. And maybe Yuki wants to kill.......Kumagoro!

  • Burned Vamp: Hahahahaahha. That was quite the amusing little skit. Poor Kuma-chan.

  • xpyne: I know, I know, everyone hates the cliffies, but you have to end -somewhere-. Anyway, you have to remember that the tragic analogy is all in Ryuichi's head. And, if Ryuichi doesn't have all the information, then it doesn't exactly all work out correctly. But...heh...your guess was good. And FIVE TIMES? Ouch. That's so icky. I'm glad I keep copies of all my stories.

  • noali: Oh, I certainly think you are right. Emotional pain is worse than physical, many times. A Yuki/Ryu kiss? Yikes. I think I've only ever read one Yuki/Ryu story and it was...interesting. I liked it, I think, but I love everything Ryuichi. Awwwwyeah, he's such a fluffy nut.

  • pinksakuya: Yeah. Brief lapse of judgement there on Molly's part, eh? Ryuichi might be the only 33 year old in existence who needs a leash!

  • Yami Tsuki: Is there really jumping and screaming involved? COOL!!!! Anyway, yeah, Ryui s a good guy here....just lonely, I think. VERY lonely.

  • Veleda: Thanks for pointing out the timeline error. I think I got it mostly fixed up. Anyway, you are very on-target with all of your assumptions and theories, but that is about all I can say. This story is actually pretty predictable, I think. It's just seeing it from Ryuichi's eyes which makes it unpredictable.

Chapter 8:

  • Double glitzy sorts of shiny thank-yous to: Wakaba-sama, dark rain, Kuria-Dragon-goddess, jezebel, Yami Tsuki, Bisexual Pygmy, and bergfjel

  • Veleda: Sorry to hear about your headache. Get well soon. :(

  • SapphireDragon: Okay, this was all planned by Shuichi just to get in Kumagoro's pants. Ack. So, now you know the perverse ending to Pianissimo Butterfly. Yikes!

  • driven to insanity: Emotion in whose soul? Mine? Mmm. I don't know about that. But, I am liking the writing the story, indeed. And Yuki...his plan was to kill...*stuffs Kumagoro in her mouth*

  • noali: Indeed, it does make sense. But, is that what Yuki is really afraid of? It remains to be seen!

  • Yuki-Kedamono: Ooooooo! Ryuichi cosplay? HOW COOL! Send me a pic if you get around to it. I am...most definitely...a Ryuichi fan.

  • kitty-nickle: BREATHE! BREATHE! :D :D

  • InVersesWeCry: You are...FAR...too clever for your own good. Damnit! DAMNIT! :D :D

  • Abby -WCD: Double Glitz is supposed to be a place where high end businesspeople and other rich sorts can "have dinner" with their favorite celebrities (look-alikes). Of course, as Ryuichi figured out while looking at the decor, the place was a bit more seedy than that, and you get could *cough* extra services, if you knew the right people.

  • Aibyouka: Oh. Is it okay for Yuki to shoot Ryuichi, then? *marks down everyone's preferences of who will be the first to die* Chuckle. :D

  • Yma: Yeah, a lot of people didn't care for this chapter. I did like writing it, though. :D Thanks, as always, for your review.

  • hopemia: Tohma's love transcends mortality? Maybe. *wiggles eyebrows* That certainly would be -different-, wouldn't it?

  • StrawberryPockyPoo: NO! NOTHING WILL BE REVEALED IN THE END! MUAHAHAHAAHAHA. Just kidding. Yes, all will be revealed. :D Alcohol you never drank? Eh? Oro?

  • fujifunmum: Of -course- it is aliens. No other explanation. I'm glad you like my portrayal of Yuki, though. He's hard to do!

  • Akina Tsukana: Ah. But Yuki -is- nice. He's one of the nicest characters in this story. He's just.......misunderstood.

  • April-san: Pizza? Sounds good to me. Wait. No pizza for Kumagoro? You know he's the star of this story, right? At least, -he- thinks he is.
