Messing with the Fundamentals

Deck design by Chris Shorb (inorbit@ix.netcom.com).

With the advent of the Sabbat, and a few cards in particular, I thought there might be the possibilty of making a deck that fools around with one of the fundamentals of the game, i.e. cycling cards, discards, hand size, hand secrecy, etc. In other words, it focuses alot on hand/deck management.

So far, I have played twice, and both times I got hosed because the deck relied too much on the Tomb and getting fat vamps up early. In both games, I went 4th, and one of the Meths before me got the Tomb out first. That sucked. Actually the first time I won, but only because the meth who had become my pred made a really tragic mistake, and got ousted.

Basically, it is geared around Camarilla Threats, the Barrens, Elder Library, and most importantly, the Fragment of the Book of Nod. Then I just sit and do blood gain while permanents in play reduce the other Meths down to nothing. The deck has heavy intercept to keep the permanents in play, and some stealth to make sure that any actions that need to get through do.

I am looking for suggestions of all sort, particularly on how to make the deck a little faster, and maybe on how to make it more offense oriented.

(Sorry for the unconventional listing, but this is how I usually build my decks).

Carlotta is in there so that I can go and get any of the cards I need at any time, even once they are burned (which will happen eventually anyways). The Secure Haven protects her from getting rushed and sent into torpor.
