Jason Babbitt (jbabbitt@vt.edu) suggested the following Gangrel combat/untap deck: Total:

110 Cards

I feel the need to explain. Yes, this deck is incredibly card intensive, but here's the basic idea. You have 2 vampires. Vampire 1 Bum's Rushes your opponent, Earth Melds and untaps. Vampire 2 uses Hidden Lurker, strikes you opponent with a gun, your opponent cannot strike. Presses with superior Hidden Lurker, or Gleam of Red Eyes. Round 2, Earth Meld, untap. Vampire 1 plays Hidden Lurker. Hits opponent, presses, untaps. So on and so forth until he's in torpor. I haven't played with it yet, but I will soon

Obnoxious Commentary on Jason's design

This deck seems like it would work really well, but it could easily get hosed against a bunch of common (standard, even) deck designs.

Any Brujah deck with even a few Immortal Grapples will really ruin this deck's day.

Fortitude combat decks (which, admittedly, are very uncommon) would also hose it pretty hard- "Okay, you hit me again. I use Skin of Rock to prevent damage. Woo-hoo."

Still, I think this deck illustrates a major problem with the Jyhad rules- Strike:Combat Ends cards are much to effective for their cost. Forcing someone to pay one blood every time they used a S:CE card would really ruin this deck.

Of course, maybe this deck doesn't need to be ruined, either...
