This was my first rotary phone...who knew it would turn into an
obsession. Western Electric collectors tend to look down on Automatic
Electric. The AE designs were a bit strange/klunky. Where the WE wall
phones were simple, flat boxes with the switchhook in the center, the
AE 90 has a hump in the middle and the switchook on the side. But it's
so funky, you just have to love it.
If you look carefully, you can see a blue AE 90 in at least two episodes
of the 90s version of "The Outer Limits".
