St. Claire City has more than 170 student organizations, all ready to welcome you, help you polish a skill or learn a new one. You can become a reporter for our award-winning student newspaper, The Daily Standard, or you can have your story or poem published in our biannual literary magazine, The Owl. You can join one of our 19 fraternities or sororities, you can sing in choral groups or you can perform in our symphony orchestra. You can build and race a human-powered submarine, an all-terrain vehicle or concrete canoe, or spin records as a DJ for our campus radio station, KSCU.
Once you've enrolled at SCCU, don't be surprised to hear someone call your name as you walk to your 10 o'clock class. Don't be surprised when your professor stops you in the library or the University Center to ask how you're doing. And don't be surprised if the president of the university walks up to you and says, "Welcome to St. Claire!"

SCCU's reputation for quality academic programs is well deserved. The average ACT composite score of our first year students is three points higher than the national average. You'll work hard here.
