This was National's first superhet receiver. National's FB-7 receiver, marketed about the same time, was based on this design. National next receiver was the
HRO.
In the upper right you can see controls for the Crystal
Filter. This had just previously been developed by ARRL. Across the top of the front panel are three plug-in coils.
