Ah - a capella. A form of music where the musicians eschew all musical instruments save the human voice (and sometimes other parts of the human anatomy). This is the home page of the Contemporary Acapella Society of America, a pretty good launching point for a capella enthusiasts all over. Some of the terrific a capella groups I like are the MIT Chorallaries, the Nylons, Rockapella (more widely known in Japan), and the sadly now disbanded Flirtations.

A while back, I discovered a cool company called MicroFormat, which was one of the earliest companies to produce specially coated papers for the upcoming inexpensive color inkjet printers. They continue to produce some very innovative products, from banner paper for inkjet printers that support them, to shrinking inkjet printable plastic for making into crafts. Good source for some great creative ideas! One of the better kept secrets of the computer age.

While the Houston Metro bus system is not the most convenient way to get around town in Houston (not for lack of trying, the city is so car-centric, it is disgusting), it does offer information and schedules on the web, a most modern thing!
