I am a postdoctoral research associate with the Department of Biochemistry in Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, working under the supervision of Dr. Adam Kuspa. Our laboratory uses the microorganism Dictyostelium discoideum to address questions of signal transduction, development, and novel biochemistry. EducationI earned my doctorate (as well as masters degrees) from Columbia University in New York City (more accurately, in the Health Sciences campus of same), in the laboratory of Dr. Richard Kessin.
Prior to that, I earned my bachelor's degree in Biology (with a major in Genetics) at the University of the Philippines at Los Baños. I did my undergraduate work under the supervision of Dr. Saturnina Halos. I am also a product of the Philippine Science High School, from where I graduated in 1986.
