There is nothing quite so empowering as the Web. Everyone has their little soapbox, a place to speak their minds. This is my area. I can expound on the most existentialist of ideas, or just ramble along. My corner, my space. But I always welcome Feedback.
Some ideas about GUIs:
- system level alignment bars
- In a lot of graphics programs like CorelDraw or FreeHand, you could call up vertical and horizontal rulers that convey the connection between the real world measurements and cyber measurements, but in addition, one can draw alignment guides from these rulers. I think that the system should provide similar services for all programs.
- Drag and Drop Dates
- Both of the major GUI operating systems out there (MacOS and Windows) provide some kind of system clock that ticks on one corner or another of the screen. I would like to be able to go over, and drag out either the date or the time as a text clipping into my current document. Again, this provides a system level support for an often duplicated function among a lot of programs.
