I saw a book called Gay and Lesbian Online whose cover boasted of all the queer websites listed inside. As if a simple altavista search would not be enough. I checked to see if QSB were listed and whadayaknow: we got a whole fucking chapter to ourselves. Well, just two pages. They claim that the webmaster is none other than George Marshall, the guy who wrote Spirit of 69 and Skinhead Nation and wrote as if all skins were straight, even Nicky Crane. The article had a few decent lines, but took some of our send-ups too seriously, and reduced its whole point to the lamest cliche about how everyone should have the right to be who they are. PUKE!

On a websearch to see who links up to QSB, I found a Scandiwegian antifa site that listed QSB as a "hate group". Does hating disco count? I also discovered that we were

This is an award we shared with the Reverend "god hates fags" Phelps, the Hammerskins, and Heavens Gate. Yeah, the next QSB stomping will be on a comet. In their archives, I saw that we rated 2 and a half crackpots out of a possible 4 with the justification: "The war cry of this group. "Oi! Oi! Oi! We like bOIz". And they seem to enjoy being beaten up. I don't think much more needs to be said. Thanks to Mark McCune for this site."

Well, alright. He probably found some of the wilder posts on the SKiN.LiST or maybe the FUCK THE QUEERS call for submissions went over his head. Not the first time. The snooty European who wrote it was laughing about how Americans are congenitally irony-impaired. As a proud red-blooded American I was offended.

Even a few queer skinheads are bewildered. One early contributor to this site now writes on his skinhead page:

A column by one Yvonne Zipter in the October 15 1997 issue of Chicago's gay paper, OUTLINES, states:

This page has been revised a little since then, but somehow I doubt it will make any more sense to her.

One knee-jerk antifascist site describes us as:

That was how at least one European sites labels its link to QSB, and is a typical reaction of Europeans to what we are doing. They must really get off looking down their noses at Americans but then they are embarrassed by the fact that if it weren't for Americans they would all be Sieg Heiling if they weren't smouldering in ovens, and nazi fetishism would have a very different meaning.
