February 2004: The second issue of Problem Child is now available! See this page for details.
Printingwise, I found a very nice print shop off Lake Merritt that gave us a lovely discount. Their review of PC#2? "It's good, but a little naughty, isn't it?" Indeed.
November 2003: I am working on PC#2. The first issue has almost sold out its second printing. I have less than a dozen issues left.
I think it's not too shabby that I am only two months behind schedule, considering that I moved house across the bay from San Francisco to Oakland in the meantime. Expect a new mailing address soon. Let's hope I don't make it a habit of moving in between each issue, or this isn't going to be a twice-yearly venture any more! Imagine it now: the long-anticipated third issue of Problem Child, the first in a decade...
No, I'll try to do better than that, loyal readers. But keep your fingers crossed for me, eh?
P.S. Did you see that we're now sponsors of Project Queer Lit?
April 2003: We sold out of our first printing, the one where the nice copy shop guy trimmed the edges for free because he liked the way the zine looked. We've reprinted, sans trim job. No, I didn't have a chance to fix the typo in the masthead.
Things are frantic enough here otherwise that I think I'm going to skip the release party and readings. Maybe for issue #2?
P.S.: the deadline for submissions for the next issue is in July.
March 2003: Hey, it's our first issue! Hot off the photocopier! Go to this page if you want details or want tyo place an order. Stay tuned for a release party, maybe, and readings in the San Francisco Bay Area, maybe.
