My life so far:
-
I was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana.
-
In 1987, I graduated from
Benjamin Franklin Senior High
as a
National Merit Scholar.
-
I paid my way through
Georgia Tech
as a co-op student at the Waggaman, Louisiana location of what is now
Cytec.
In 1992, I graduated summa cum laude with a baccalaureate in
mechanical engineering.
-
In 1993, I moved west to study biomechanics at
The University of Texas at Austin.
After spending twelve semesters as a teaching assistant for the
Mechanical Engineering Design Projects Program,
in 2000 I completed my
thesis
and earned the degree of master of science in engineering.
-
While in graduate school, I created and developed a pair of internet
projects:
-
SATURDAY NET
is still active.
-
SAINTERNET
is now defunct, but it led to a related television show on
KVR-TV
and a one-year term as the station's manager.
-
After graduation, I became circulation manager of
The Daily Texan.
I am now operations director of
Texas Student Publications,
the parent organization for both KVR-TV and The Daily Texan.
